Cask at The Punch Bowl in York. Pours burnished copper with a white smear. Aroma of old appleskin. Near med body. Flavor is almost oaky appleskin. It’s astringent, but not really dry. Almost or mayhap even actually bitter. Very tasty. Too drinkable. Finn (7547) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 3, 2013
Hamilton Hall, Liverpool Street 5 Nov 12. JDW festivalcider. Gyldenbrun. Ikke skum. God plomme/eplearoma. Smaken passe tørr og ikke for søt. En bra cider. Omsider. DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - OCT 7, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 6, 2013 Pint out the chiller, Earl of Mercia, Coventry, 07/10/12. Headless gold. Slightly lambic, lime and crab aroma. Drying, mildly spontaneous, mid-sweet, almost flat with apple bubblegum and clovey hints. Ordered it thinking it was a Welsh stout, hence it’s become the only cider I’ve ever rated. On this showing it might not be the last. ManVsBeer (10470) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - SEP 27, 2012
Very dry and sweet with a smoked aroma, some of which is carried in its taste. stravale (3065) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - SEP 13, 2012

Dark amber, no head, clear.....soft apple quite tart nose...taste appley sweet..alc well hidden..soft tart...easy drinking. No carb...thin body...slight bitter tart apple finish which leaves a soft sweet tart tail.
This is a pretty good cider
One of the best ciders available. Amber in colour with a rich fruity aroma. Taste is somehow sweet, sour and bitter all at once. Like a good marmalade. Deceptively easy to drink and therefore far too easy to get drunk on.

Pours a golden colour without a head. Aroma of very sweet red apples, caramel and herbs. Flavour of sweet red apples, vanilla, herbs, caramel and alcohol. Medium bodied, oily mouthfeel and low carbonation. Juicy cider with a bit too much alcohol.
I am not normaly a cider drinker. In trueth the only reason l’m drinking my 2nd pint of it now id due to the fact l liked the name and thought it was an ale.
Saying that its blooming marvellous! It also leaves an unplaceable after taste l can only liken to mead! hrothgar950 (141) - Mabelvale, Arkansas, USA - JUL 1, 2012

Cask conditioned at The Punch Bowl (JDW), York. (7.2% ABV). Deep orangey body. Thin bubbly white head quickly dissipates. Alcohol, apple, oak, definite vanilla notes, municipal water. Sweet! With some quite sour notes. Like a slightly more bitter apple juice. Dry finish. Warming.
