Bottle from Cider and more. Nose is sour and bitter apples. Palate is smooth apple, some bitterness in the aftertaste, vanilla, wood, only notice some of the alcohol when left in the mouth for a bit. Very smooth, very nice.

Maker: Gwynt y Ddraig Cider, Pontypridd, Wales, UK *** Cider: Gwynt y Ddraig Gold Medal (bottled, 500ml) *** Style: Cider *** ALC.VOL.: 7.0% *** "Our first commercially produced cider which won us the CAMRA Gold medal in 2004 – the first Welsh cider producer to achieve a Gold medal. Winner of CAMRA’S gold medal at the 2004 National cider & perry judging " [cidery notes] *** Colour: Deep yellow golden, no head. *** Nose: Mostly sour apples, rather mild. *** Mouthfeel: Medium to heavy, not watery at all. Very soft carbonation. *** Taste: Sweet and sour apples, a hint of vanilla. Followed by a slightly drier middle, but leading to a sweet and fruity finish. After taste of ripe apples. *** Impressions: Moderately heavy, predominantly sweet cider that still manages to hide its alcohol very nicely. Not cloying. Good, straightforward cider.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2016 500ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki) (6:3:6:4:13=3.2)
Nice bold gold. Gentle apple aroma, pleasantly dry, apple skins, a bit dry woody. Lovely full palate, smooth and rich. Taste is pure woody apple skins, perfect balance between the dryness of skins and the sweetness of the fruit. Leaves my lips with a nice sharp coating. Yum. Ooops, half a litre of 7% cider - perfect for company meetings!
Rerate: 500ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki) (7:3:7:4:14=3.5)
Woodier aroma. Crisper taste. Super drinkable. All the above positive words still apply. Damn, too nice to rate, better to just drink.

Golden color with white head. Aroma is red apples, quite sweet, but natural. Slightly phenolic. Taste is sweet red apples, slightly tannic, good tartness, and with a phenolic finish. Fine-bubbled carbonation. Good stuff.
