Oops. Thought I was ordering an ale and then found it was a cider. Thankfully this was a decent bit of apple juice, plenty of nose and plenty of body. Medium fizz, and a little fruity after burp. Not bad, and very light.

Bag in a Box in Crown and Kettle in Manchester. Golden with a rim of white bubbles. The taste is sweet apple juice. Could pass for Apple juice rather than cider.

Cask @ Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Medium head with medium duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are apples, fruits, flowers, light acid and has a nice smooth fruity finish.

Tap at The Red Squirrel Emporium, High Wycombe, as ’Gwynt y Ddraig Happy Daze’. Clear dark orange, clear and still with no head. Aroma is airy, a touch farty, dried apple. Body is smooth with light to low carbonation. Taste is sugary, apple, a bit sulphurous, insipid watery finish. In short, this is a firm ’no’ for me. (1.8)

Keg dispensed @ White Lion, Heptonstall. Slightly hazed golden-orange coloured ale. Deceptively sweet in aroma and taste as there’s a long bitter finish to this cider, however there’s a heavy apple sweetness beforehand.

Bag in a box at Hemelvaart Bier Cafe, Bedale. Deep golden colour, no head and sourish apple nose. Sweet fruity apple flavour with hints of light wood & tannin. Slightly syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry clean finish with some lingering sweetness. Quite drinkable.

Cask at the chesham brewery shop. Clear orange coloured pour with no head. Aroma is semi sweet Apple juice, crystalline sugars. Flavour is clean and light sweet apple sugar little toffee, slight tart in the finish. Palate is semi sweet and still. OK. Goes down very easy.

Dry, rough aroma. Dry, massive hit of apples, but with a sweetness. Smooth. Quite delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
