At the Monk’s Retreat, Reading. Vivid clear gold. Still. That’s still as in not fizzy rather than it’s still clear gold, although it still is- the colour has not changed since I started drinking it. Sweet eating pears from the off. And that’s it. It’s pear juice. Nice pear juice though.

Bag in box @ JDW Princess Street, Manchester. Pours clear gold with chemically sweet nose. Taste is acute concentrated perry sweetness, strong and bitter at first, softening slightly with oily pear drops on the finish. Not sure I’m into this.

Bag in [email protected] bellwether, wednesbury. Yellow with orange tint still cider. Aroma of fresh pears. Taste is real fresh pears, sugar and a little touch of wood. A little oil on the palate. This tastes like a perry should taste. Very nice and fresh.
