This is a Saison. It has its roots in a long tradition of Belgian farmhouse ales. The mixture of Pale and Vienna malts combine with three different English and German hops to perfectly compliment the earthy, peppery and spicy yeast flavours.

Pours quite a murky/hazy golden colour with a white head. It smells mostly of yeast and the taste is slightly tart.

A belated Christmas present from AndrewC, thanks Andrew. Clear gold amber colour lasting white head. Some rather good bretty aroma. Good in the mouth. Dry finish. Bretty biscuit, dry lemony. Yes very impressive. Almost Orval like. Thanks Andrew

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 24 Nov 2016) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, spicy nose with peaches, bread, hay and spicy yeast. Malty, fruity taste with notes of bread, hay, grapefruit, spicy yeast and a balanced floral bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Fresh and spicy saison. Quite nice.

Bottle at home. Yellow colour with a slight haze and a dense white head. Aroma of yeast and funky, citrus hop. Slight sweetness to start then a gentle bitterness to follow. Crisp malt, juicy pineapple fruit and yeast among the dominant flavours. Well carbonated, crisp and tasty with a long, dry finish. My only reservation is that it is a bit "home-brew", but I guess the charm of this beer is its rustic background. Refreshing and tasty, I would have another.

500ml bottle from the Brewery Online Shop. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of lemon curd, faint white pepper, light bready malt. Taste has a hint of varnish, spice, light floral tones. Spicy linger, bit too much of the varnish though.

Cask at Ealing beer festival 2016, Ealing, London. A hazy golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, floral, lemon aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, floral, lemon, yeasty. Quite refreshing on a hot sunny day.

Cask at the Nags Head - Reading. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. Slight saison yeast in the nose, some dry wheat, hay, pale grains. Light-medium sweet flavor with more pale grains and wheat, light husk, plastic, wheat, lemon peel. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderate sweetness to finish, more wheat, dry yeast, melon, rindy lemon. So so.

Bottle on holiday in Lyme Regis. Hazy gold beer, fluffy white head. Palate is airy and semi dry, modest carbonation. A little green apple. Sweetish floral things. Trace of citrus. Light finish. Clunky, too much apple.

Cask at the Southampton Arms. Amber with a funky lemon, banana and peppermint nose. Malty-sweet with a funky nuttiness. Kinda grows on you.

Bottle split with James, thanks to he, 30/08/15. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is light soap, straw, farmyard, lemon rind. Taste comprises bitter orange, light yeast, grassy, light spice, lemon. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough saison.

Nice saison. Authentic. Not just the addition of saison cubes. Hazy. Full body. Also refreshing. Spicy. Oregano? Good example of the style being done well by foreigners.

Still good. Fresh and spicy traditional saison. Anna also liked.
