Had to quit the real stuff for awhile, and O’Douls and Coors Cuttter sucks. I figured I’d give this a try (the American version). I was pleasantly surprised. Not quite as good as the real thing, but beats going completely without.
6-pack purchased on 08/12/2009 from a Superstore Liquor store in Calgary, AB. Colour: Medium gold with low white head. Nose: Wet plain pasta, ketchup, odd notes for malt. Old stale book. Taste: Light sweet, medium-light bitter, medium-light sour. A slight presence of hop and more pasta like notes. Some bell pepper. Has some character, albeit poor. troopie (2531) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - JUL 9, 2011
Bottle. The best of the low alcohols I’ve tried. Faint malty aroma, light fizzy body. No finish. This is something for non drinkers to sip when going to the pubs with their mates. NobleSquirrel (3439) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 8, 2009
Bottle, imported. Pours a nice enough gold with fizzy head. The nose is wet grain, a certain fruitiness to it, almost like apple juice. Taste is sweet, with a wheaties type after taste. Some very distant apple juice fighting with the cooked grains. What a weird beverage. Hops pretty much disappear. Not awful, just really odd... durhambeer (2585) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - FEB 19, 2009
Why is non-alcoholic beer so bad? Why can’t it taste like beer? Why do so many of them taste like weak beer with sour apple juice added? This is a typical example, and it’s unattractively yellow and nastily fizzy. Definitely worse than water. My poor pregnant wife. jhliesen (836) - West Melbourne, Florida, USA - SEP 7, 2008
Bottle--I really, really wish I could describe the smell. We just went through Tropical Storm Fay with two feet of rain and the other day I came across a catfish that was washed up a drain and died in a parking lot. Take that smell and mix it in with the wet rotting leaves and you’ve got the aroma pretty close. The pour led to a fizzy head and the beer was a dirty yellow color. Most of the taste was taken up by cereal flavors. The first six to eight ozs we’re horrible, but it was hard to finish. Produce place, 1.39

One of the better N/A biers available in the states. Some malt flavor, with abit of bitterness that I look for in an NA, still, not my favorite NA, but ok. oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 30, 2005
Pours a nice light golden yellow. Aromas of hops, grass, and maybe malt. Taste is crisp with a nice mellow hop flavor. This is one of the better non-alcoholic beers on the market. nick76 (4404) - Tampa, Florida, USA - OCT 26, 2005
The aroma is sweet and corn like. The appearance is pale golden but has almost no head. The flavor is very much like completely alcohol free malt beverages. It is sweet and malty but it does have a little bitter hop in the finish. Very drinkable but not great by any standard. Suttree (6575) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 29, 2005
Pours a clear yellow, with a huge rocky head. Strong aroma of.....
