Palme (4856) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 2, 2011
0.5l bottle @ Henrik, Bergen. Pours a light cloudy deep golden body with a small dense lasting white head. Aroma is sweet - almost caramel sweet with notes of hay, cloves thin yeast and some ripe banana. Medium bodied, has a oily texture and the carbonation level is medium+. Nice and refreshing wheat flavors with notes of cloves, flowers and ripe bananas. Finishes of wheaty with a orange-zest aftertaste. Nice weiz from Drammen. In some types of these german hefeweizen I get a distinct orange-soda-like flavor in the aftertaste. This is one of those. I quite like it, but if feels kinda strange to drink a hefeweizen and in the aftertaste it feels like you have been drinking a orange soda.

500ml bottle. Pours with a big deep soft pure white head and is a bold amber colour. Strong sweet banana aroma with some cinnamon in the background. The flavour is full and carries some wight. Not as thin as most weizens with good prresence on the palate.

Orange hazy beer that is unmistskenly a weizen. Not too heavy on spice and citrus, just well balanced with nice palate. Got this as a birthday gift from joel uckelman, who bought it at de bierkoning.

Some what hazy, orange color beer with long lasting head and quite a bit of bubbles hissing just after opening the bottle. Smell is floral with a remains of yeast. Taste goes same way, and yeastiness is stronger which makes this a bit sour. Good beer, and works quite well after Indian food I just ate.

Bottle, bought @ Kihoskh, Cph.
Pale orange-yellow with a slight murkiness to it - especially after the yeast is poured into it. Small, rather fizzy, frothy white head on top. Aroma is fine, rather sweet, lots of green apple and wheat. Mild banana. Highish carbonation, light prickly bubbles. Fair mouthfeel with some dryness to it. Flavour is rather mild, good malty sweetness. Wheat, oranges, green apples. Light zestiness to it that sticks to my teeth. It is fine and perfectly drinkable, yet it somehow feels like a hefe from people who doesn’t like a hefe.

@BBF 2010, on tap. Towards the top end of what a Weizen would be: fruit, sugar, bubblegum. Nice.

garza (574) - Oslo (NO), Caracas (VE), VENEZUELA - NOV 30, 2010
Hazy golden with ana average white head on the looks. Fruity aroma with some citrus notes and herbs. Medium sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, citrus again with some spiced feeling. Light body, oily feel, soft carbonation, short after taste. Ok.
