0.5l bottle from #569. Yeah, it’s quite deep and almost burgundy red in color this. Cloudy and it had a nice lasting medium sized pinkish head that’s lacing nicely down the glass. On the nose I get a first a not so fantastic aroma of dead skin and old lemons that have been lying on the fridge a week or so to long. Could be the fact that it’s refridge-cold though, so I’ll give it some time in the glass. It definitely opens up after a while. Turning almost spicy! Christmas spices with ginger and a distinctive fruitiness. Probably wouldn’t be able to identify it as blueberries if I didn’t know it, but as I do there is no doubt that that is exactly that it is, kinda sweet blueberries, but also blackberries. What surprises me most is the Christmsssy ginger tones I’m finding quite clearly here. All in all it smells quite nice after letting it rest in the glass for a while. It has a thin oily, almost a little watery mouthfeel this and it’s just above average on the bubbles. I was hoping for a little more flavors than this to be honest, but I can clearly taste the blue and blackberries here. Fruity and somewhat sweetish flavors. Oh, how I wish this was intensive sour and tart, but it’s not. It has pretty close to non bitterness this, but I guess that’s not its main purpose. All in all this was a bit of a let down, as the bare name of the beer creates quite some expectations. That said, it not bad tasting what so ever. 30.01.2014

Aroma’s vinegar, perfume, something else. Flavor’s mainly tart, some barely discernable blueberry and boring. Some perfume soap in the finish. Body is ok.

maekchu (3917) - Hirakata, JAPAN - MAY 6, 2015
Bottle. Thanks to mike12da. Nose of light tangy berries, small sweetness, and some tart tickling notes, too. Hazy dark pink color. Solid fruity initial (a mix of berries rather than strictly blueberries), and a slightly weird and unwelcome note of tar or creosote appears very briefly in mid palate, Nice enough. Light tartness. Not overly sour.

KyotoLefty (10265) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAY 5, 2015
Bottle. Pink-purple with a foamy, lace head. Stanky, funky nose, blueberry, lactic acid, cream, vanilla. Creamy and tart flavor, blueberry, not so sour, seeds, something like tar. Not so exciting but nice enough to drink.

Bottle at Cardinal. Batch # 569. Pours clear redish with a small weak pinkish head. Aroma of tart acidic berries. Dry clean taste of berries, more crow berries than blueberries, spritzy lively mouthfeel, like a champagne, mineralic dry finish, me like a lot.

Bottle thanks to myknewcraft, thanks Joey! Pours a somewhat clear red with a medium white head that fades quickly into nothingness and leaves zero lacing. Nose is of soft vinegar and maybe some fruits. You’d think you are smelling a tame sour red, really. Wood? Anyway, OK. Taste is of blueberries, not too sweet and not acid either, gives some unfortunate metallic notes. Body is light and carbonation a bit high and prickly. Overall it was OK but definitely not fruit-forward and less than interesting.

tmrmwel (2089) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 4, 2014
Bottle, batch 569. Pours hazy dark red, with a short lived airy head. Aroma is tart fruity and acidic with lots of blueberries, as well as rhubarb, orange, vinegar, farmyard and oak barrels. Medium body with quite fizzy carbonation. Flavour is sour with vinegar and unripe fruit, as well as blueberries, forest berries and wooden barrels.

gyllenbock (9184) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 31, 2014
Bottle bought in Trondheim in June 2014. Hazy dark red with a small head. Dry with some light berries,"metal", some bread and light yeast. Drinkable but a bit anonymous.

@ Eddan 14-8-30: lite metallisk doft. Smaken är tyvärr ganska blek och det är svårt att hitta nån smak alls. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---- Soberness not garanteed!

Bottle. Dark purple body with a small white head. Aroma of blueberries, yeast, quite malty. Taste is slightly sour, blueberry, wheat, with a balancing sweetness and a straight forward berry finish making it an easy beer to drink and enjoy, although compared to Haands other berry beers which I’m a fan of this comes a bit short.
