Bottle from Liberty Wine Merchants on The Drive in Vancouver. A black beer with moderate tan head. Coffee and chocolate overtones throughout. A bit sweet about mid-palate, but with a dry finish. Great!

Bottle. Pours dark brown with small head. Nose is chocolate, coffee, berry. Flavour is the same... chocolate is fairly bitter, coffee isn’t anything special. Finish is coffee. Viscous. The "chocolate-coffee milkshake" variety of beer, which can be good, but in this case wasn’t my favourite.

500mL bottle, 18/4/12. Pours opaque brown-black with a thin, short lived tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, heavily roasted coffee and stale tobacco smoke. Primarily roast malt in the flavour, a little chocolate, not much coffee, mild sweetness, slightly acidic, a little metallic bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation, creamy with a lingering burnt sweetness.

Bottle from Belmont Station, Portland. Pours a dark color, good amount of tan head. Aroma roasty, coffee, clean. Body light, lively, crisp, much like a traditional English style porter, but a good amount of coffee. Not amazing, but not bad, either.

From a 500ml bottle (shared by Butz - thanks). Has a huge coffee aroma with a good dash of brown sugar and some caramel. All the aforementioned features in the flavour as well. This a coffee bomb, with sweet mocha overtones and just a hint of dark fruit. The bitterness is moderate, the body medium, and the carbonation subdued. Really easy to drink and packed with flavour. If you’re into coffee, this is a must try. One of the best I’ve had from this brewery.

Bottle. Strong coffee aroma. Stronger coffee taste. It has hints of chocolate I it as well. Fairly smooth without too much bitterness. Ok but not great.

16.9 oz bottle, as Coffee Porter. Dark brown with a thick beige head. Nose is coffee bean, tobacco and musty cocoa. Milky medium body with odd fizzy carb. Egg cream meets latte. Taste is espresso, licorice, chocolate and vanilla. Finishes with burnt marshmallow. More a milk stout but it’s about the coffee. Good.

Svart farve med beige skum. Lukt av malt, kaffe og bek. Smak av sokolade, malt, kaffe og frukt.

Mørk sort av farge. Tynt dekkende skum. Herlig duft av brent, kaffe, sjokolade, lakris og malt. God smak av kaffe, lakris og malt med en ettesmak av brent.
