Bottle. Strong coffee aroma. Stronger coffee taste. It has hints of chocolate I it as well. Fairly smooth without too much bitterness. Ok but not great.
500ml bottle. Pours an opaque dark brown almost black with a small, short lived, tan head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and caramel. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, licorice and vanilla with a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. This beer has aged nicely. A very tasty porter. Korcz (3390) - Warsaw, POLAND - JAN 28, 2017

Bottle share at Chriso’s for Kenny’s 20K. Thanks! As ’HaandBryggeriet Costa Rica’, bottled April 2012 at 6.5%. Black with a small foamy brown head. Aroma is chocolate, redcurrant, some coffee. Body is smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is coffee, bourbon biscuit, soft semisweet finish with a touch of ash. Pretty good for a beer that isn’t meant to be aged for the best part of 4 years! teorn88 (7682) - Rimini, ITALY - JAN 22, 2016
50cl bottle shared at Kenny’s 20K celebrations @Chriso’s, thanks to the Kernel Rotbox. It pours a clean dark brown color with a minimal tan head. Aroma is lightly sweet and tangy with medium vegetable spice notes and elderflower. Taste is also medium sweet with some more drying vegetable elderflower notes. Medium bodied with ok carbonation. Overall, ok Scopey (14730) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 20, 2016
Bottle from the Kernel Rotbox, consumed at Kenny’s 20K. It pours darkest brown with a small light tan head. The nose is toasty, bitter sweet, earthy roast, big coffee character and mild acidity. The taste is earthy, some bitterness, toasty grain, chewy malt, coffee grounds, burnt toffee and some underlying sweetness with a dry, woody finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty alright. thornecb (5912) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 4, 2015
Pours black into an English pint. Mocha micro head with excellent retention top hats and recedes leaving gloppy sheets. Dark chocolate, espresso and soy aromas. Dark chocolate and soy upfront turning to licorice before the lasting sweet mocha finish. superspak (5594) - Michigan, USA - NOV 22, 2015
500 ml bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy very dark brown color with a 2 finger dense and rocky tan head with great retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toast, brown bread, light nuttiness, and herbal/roasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and coffee notes; with good strength. Taste of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toast, brown bread, light nuttiness, and herbal/roasted earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toast, brown bread, light nuttiness, and herbal/roasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and coffee flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/silky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice coffee porter. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and coffee flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
