COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dobbel Dose or Dobbel Dram is a double IPA made with european style hops rather than US hops. This beer is also heavily dryhopped in the aging tank for the extra hop taste and aroma.
9% alc. 82 ibu and 22 ebc. Made from Maris Otter malt, wheat malt and Crystal.
Serve at 10-12C or 50-55F. Goes well with spicy food and grilled meat. American Bottle Label -- "Double Dram" is made with more of everything, including all the hops the Hand Brewery’s tiny brew-kettle can take. Feisty American hops for bittering are followed by noble Fuggles and Styrian Goldings for a spicy, flowery aroma. As tradition dictates, this is an exceptionally hardy brew, made to weather the long, hard ocean voyage to anywhere...

Draught @BBF’12: Hazy orange colored beer with no head. Smell hop flowers, hop fruit, pine, resin, pine apple, exotic fruits, creamy, nice nose. Taste is lovely hoppy with many hop bitters, hop fruits and hop flowers, pine, resin, forest fruits, exotic fruits, hint of yeast, spicy and light malty. Fruit and spicy bitter tones are well balanced. Aftertaste is spic, malty, grassy, hops, resin, etc. Low to medium carbo, creamy soft mouthfeel, medium to full body and a creamy texture.

Flaske 0,5L smakt januar 2013. Aroma sitrus, humle. Utseende uklar gylden med hvitt skum. Smak sitrus, grapefrukt, malt, humle, karamell, krydder, alkohol. En bitter ipa med god fruktighet og med noe karamell i kanten. Godt øl

Draft Half Pint at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London in Nov 2011 - Hazy Orangey Amber in colour. Very Hoppy; grassy and earthy hops. Fruity; orange citrus, peach. Malty; solid malty backbone, sweet malts, caramel. Good hop/fruit/malt balance. Sweet-bitter very fruity hoppy throughout with good malts; not too bitter or hop extreme. Very drinkable. Liked this a lot. Nice Euro DIPA! (2011-11-05)

Batch 434: Hay, pencil shavings, grapefruit aroma. Murky ochre, thick billowy head, fairly good retention. Intense punch of grapefruit, caramel, horehound, oak. Triple sec finish. Full body, hot, easy carbonation. A bit stale and oxidized, no date found on the bottle, but I would guess it isn’t very fresh. Very boozy.

Aroma is citrus, English malts and mild pine. The flavor is fruit, citrus, hops/hop resin, English malts and a mix of mild heat, spices and bittersweet in the finish.

Taste from a bottle (best before 6/2012) @ a friend’s place. Pours hazy golden with a high but fast head. Aroma is fruity and slightly sour malts with some alcohol and hops. Flavor is sweet malts, fruits, alcohol, hops and a sour punch that doesn’t belong. It’s gone bad, sadly. Still decent though.

Foam is moderate and sustained. The aroma contains light fruit, caramel and hops. The taste is extremely good. First lightly caramel, then ongoing good hops with a fine balance bitter not astringency with the points that it is an IPA. Towards the end lightly alcoholic forward and leaves a warming sensation in the mouth. Very successful IPA.

Bottle. Sensoric. Golden, hazy with medium, white head. Poor lacing and head retention. The aroma is toasty and caramel malts with quite strong floral and herbal accents. Taste is medium to high bitter with some sweet, even not heavy malty sweetness. Medium body, creamy and quite thick texture, average carbonation, fifnish is semi-dry and medium bitter. In overall, nice

Lightly hazy amber orange, cream head butter scotch, citruses, red orange peel, hint of toffee astringent finish probably due to carbonation hops, toffee and butterscotch, hazelnuts

In bottiglia.
