UPDATED: FEB 26, 2006 Re-rating. Less carbonation makes a much better beer, though it is still on the fizzy side.

Bottle. I thought this was pretty good. Better than their regular weizen. Some chocolate and caramel, with some yeasty banana esters, clove as usual, refreshing, slightly tart character. kook (2033) - Perth, Western Australia, AUSTRALIA - AUG 26, 2005
RBESG05: High carb brown with a beige head. Sweet though a little bland. Some flavours of fruity banana there and a touch of caramel. Overall a little thin though. omhper (24979) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 25, 2005
UPDATED: SEP 12, 2005 Bottled at RBESG. Very muddy pale brown. Banana aroma. Sweet and roasty with some caramel. Dryish lightly salty finish. Pleasant, unusally refreshing dunkelweizen. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 24, 2005
(Bottle 50 cl) Very unclear brown with a small, off-white head. Lots of yeast in the aroma. Very malty and full-bodied, soft and delicate. Nice all right, 120805

Bottle. RBESG -05.
Muddy brown. Beige head. Nice, though vanishing, lacing. Little toffe and pleasanty estery with an underlying sourness. Body light-medium. Sigmund (7393) - Tau, NORWAY - AUG 18, 2005
Bottle conditioned, RBESG 2005, Grand Tasting (courtesy of the brewery). Murky dark brown colour, lots of sediment. Yeasty aroma and flavour, some cloves. Ungstrup (37327) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - AUG 16, 2005
A muddy brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by caramel, but also contains some lesser notes of wheat. The flavor is wheaty combined with caramel, and is slightly roasted. The mouthfeel is very carbonated. I’ve had better Dunkelweizens, but thanks to Haandbryggeriet for supplying this to RBESG.
