0.5l bottle from Valken, Bergen. Pours a hazy darkish golden body, with a solid wheat-head. I get some yeast, sweet banana and bacon! Strange.. Medium to full-bodied with low carbonation. Nice warming alcohol not well hidden but really nice, some chocolate hints and orange peel. Must admit that I’m not sure how chamomile tastes, but I’m sure the strange flowery taste is just that. Refreshing and a bit different wheat ale because of the quite clear sweet alcohol notes. Want more of this! gunnar (9390) - Sandnes, NORWAY - JAN 8, 2011
Bottled gift from OleR, thanks mate! Pours light hazy golden with a big stabile creamy white head. Sour wheaty aroma, belgian yeast, banana and barn besides some sweet malts, heavy that is. Taste is initially medium sweet dark fruity malty, raisins and plums, before a nice bitter, slightly pepperish/ginger feel take over and saves this brew from beeing just sweet. Nice lingering herbal end. Moderate sticky mouthfeel. Another good brew from Drammen. lusikka (7819) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 21, 2010

Pours a hazy orange colour with a small, white head. Aroma of strong wheat, citrus and tropical fruits. Flavour of wheat, sweet fruits, plum, alcohol, loads of it. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and a dry mouthfeel. Burning alcohol finish. Quite pleasant and has some Sahti-like notes, but somewhat unbalanced. Not nearly as good as Dark Force.

A strong wheat beer that reminds me of sahti.
My first wheat ale! :-) Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. A medium, bubbly white head covers a honey-hued hazy straw yellow body. Aroma is wheat and yeasty floral tones with chamomile tones and hints of molasses; sort of like a Belgian tripel gone a bit wild. Interesting. Taste is massive; heavy molasses, herbal tones and floral yeastiness, flanked by a chamomile that definitely makes itself known. Mouthfeel is near-oily and full-bodied. A rough floral bitterness along with an alcohol punch comes through in the aftertaste. Good Force is an extremely dense and rich brew, packed to the brim with flavor. Perhaps a bit too intense in its sweet, flowery makeup at times. Although not entirely my style of beer, this is a well crafted beer which I expect will be very pleasing to those who take to its flavor profile.

Medium offwhite head. Hazy deep orange body. Fruity mealy oily aroma with herbal notes. Dry-sweet alcoholic oily wheaty taste with toffee and tropical fruit notes. Fullish body. Mild faintly hot mouthfeel. Dry herbal coriander and alcohol aftertaste with tropical fruit and marzipan notes. Nice, drinkable, but perhaps a bit too low-key for the strength. As I drink, and the beer warms, faint resiny honeyish notes show up, improving the beer. The aroma becomes more like Westmalle Trippel after a while. Might rerate this one warm, which would probably give it better scores. (0.5l bottle, Håndverkerstuene, Oslo.) yngwie (17168) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 13, 2010
UPDATED: NOV 14, 2010 Bottle at Cardinal. A nice-looking orangey golden beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is rather unusual, very flowery, but with an underlying wheat, fruit and hops scent coming stronger as it warms. Some spices and alcohol too. It’s full-bodied and warming in the mouth, quite sweetish, but with a good bitterness. The malty sweetness is almost balanced by the bitterness and spiced touch. Canned fruits, white sugar, flowers, and wheat too, all the way. The alcohol is evident too. Well, it’s nice, but to say it’s a friendly one might be pushing it. Not that it is rude, but it is quite intense. Like it. 101113 Geokkjer (7643) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 13, 2010

Bottle shared by OleR. Thanks! Pours a hazy bright yellow with a thin white head that is gone in seconds. Aroma is almost smoky, heavy wheat notes, banana, belgo yeast. Very sweet brew, but it’s got a hefty bitter and slightly sour bite in the finish. Spicy. Good balance, the bitterness might actually be a bit too heavy. Carbonation is sparse, mouthfeel is thick. It’s a bit of a wierd one, but it works. Not too hot, not too raw, but I think it could use some age to take the sting of that finish. espenra (1017) - Kurland, NORWAY - OCT 10, 2010
