Bottle poured into glass. Thanks again to MikeLovesBeer for sharing this. Not exactly sure what crowberry is or how it’s suppose to taste but I enjoyed and I suppose that’s good enough. Not overly sour but slightly smokey, which works well here.

The head is medium, the body brown. It smells bitter and sour. The taste is fruity, sour, different fruits, a bit woody. Fantastic fruity! 12/13/13/12/-/13

Bottle shared by bmanning. Thanks Ben. The beer appears a hazy dark orange color with a small head that leaves sparse lacing on the glass. The aroma offers some wild yeast, funk, fruit, malt, kiwi. Abundant sourness in the flavor, with some tart citrus and stone fruits. Mild tannins with some citrus and a slightly acetic finish. Light to medium bodied with solid carbonation. Overall, a decent beer and one worth trying. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 01-08-2012

Appearance: Garnets and ambers and rhubarb. No real head, just a few slightly pinkish bubbles randomly floating.
Nose: Zing! Red ripe sour tart tannic rhubarb and sour tart berries. Plum and grape skins abound in sourness, tannins, and bitterness. Key lime zest and oils along the edges.
Palate: I am in Love! Relatively thin mouthfeel holds nothing back as my tastebuds tingle from first loving quaff to last, grabbing middle of tongue and never letting go. Cranberries, rhubarb, raspberries, and boysenberries – tart, sour, and so deliciously unripe. Stems and skins along the sides and in the finish for some refreshing bitterness and tannins before giving way to more tart berry delights.
Final Thoughts: It’s been a long while, too long a while since my last Haandbryggeriet beer – I had almost forgotten how fecking awesome they are. Amazing. I wish I had a whole case as to drink at least 2 or 3 a week. Seek this beer out my Beer Ambassadorites and fellow Sourheads. You will not be disappointed, and while you’re at it, seek out any other Haandbryggeriet beers you can find. Works of art I say, works of art.

Pours blood orange flesh with a small ring of fizz. Smells fruity (I guess crowberries) and a touch sour. Taste is fruity and sour. Medium-bodied with a prickly texture and fizzy mouth-carbonation, Haandbryggeriet Krøkkebic finishes with a strange fruity sour kick. This is, objectively, a good beer, I guess I just don’t like crowberries.

stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - NOV 19, 2012
Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2012. Pours an unclear and brown beer with a weak white head. The aroma is malt, tart, acidity and fruit. The flavor follows the nose with additional grapefruit. The palate is acidic. Overall a good beer.

Great cherry/lemon scents and taste, has a perfect blend and a nice smooth mouth feel.

Tasted from the bottle @Borefts fest 2012. As always amazing, complex taste, very sour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours clear red brown, with a minimal head. Aroma is sour fruit and oak barrels. Body is full, with flat carbonation. Flavour is sour with acidic berries and apples, as well as grapes and oak.

Leighton (21232) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 10, 2012
Bottle at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours light hazy ruby with a light, creamy head. Sweaty nose with some citrusy sugars. Decently tart flavor with plenty of sugar and light, leafy bitterness. Also some grapefruit. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Crisp, tangy finish with plenty of semi-ripe citrus fruits. Good one.
