300ml, 2010 version, on tap, 6.3% ABV, at Olympen. Delicate served and presented with an almost pitch black body to a light brownish head. Chocolate malts along with liquorice to the nose. Ditto taste profile supported by earthy malts and offset by bittersweet fruits to the ending. Quite easy to drink (Oslo, 18.10.2010). gunnfryd (15281) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 11, 2010
On tap at Lompa as lompas vinter. Dark brown colour with a tan head. Aroma is roasted, malt, caramel, coffee. Flavour is roasted, malt, fruit, caramel, apple, spices, coffee. Medium to full body. Nice beer. yngwie (17234) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 16, 2010
On tap at Olympen. A black beer topped by a minimal tan head. Roasted and burnt malts in the aroma, along with some nice sourness and a little smoke or ashtray scent. Slightly smoked flavor, mostly roasted and charcoal-ish, some sourness too. Full-bodied and dry. Smooth, lasting finish. A pleasant mix.
Behagelig. Litt kaffe i ettersmaken.

Black colour and creamy brown head. Fresh malty aroma with reminiscences of coffee. Heavy beer with flavor. Like chocolate in the palate with a round full body. Some light coffee after taste abemorsten (3683) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - JAN 30, 2010
On tap at Olympen (aka "Lompa") where it is renamed "Lompas Vinter". A "less commercial" variation of the "Nissefar" recipe.
Pitch black with creamy brown head. Aroma of bubble gum and burnt malt. Milky smooth to drink with mild bitterness and roasted flavors. Recommended. (13.01.2010) Sigmund (7917) - Tau, NORWAY - JAN 19, 2010
On tap at Olympen ("Lompa"), as "Lompas Vinter", renamed after Christmas. Black colour, moderate tan head. Nice aroma of mild coffee and dark malts, hints of chocolate and liquorice. The flavour is moderately roasty with a moderate malty sweetness, hints of dark chocolate. Quite good. KnutAlbert (6792) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 16, 2009
Full malty body, dark and spicy beer.
Molasses, figs, raisins. Dry finish, some ashes. Tobacco, nutmeg and ginger.
Fine, complex beer, served a bit too cold. larsga (7656) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 6, 2009
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2009 No real head, just a brown ring around the edge. Opaque black body goes almost translucent at edges. Fruity earthy prunes and chocolate aroma with sooty alcoholic notes. Sweet sooty chocolatey taste with earthy coffee notes. Fullish body. Mild mouthfeel. Low on carbonation. Dry-sweetish earthy licorice and chocolate aftertaste, quite mild and harmonic, ending in spicy notes.
Very nice, but more like a straight old ale/porter than a Christmas beer. (0.3l draft, Olympen, Oslo.)
