(Draught at Olympen, Oslo, 6 Nov 2009) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with dried fruit, raisins, dark bread and chocolate. Some cocoa bitterness in the finish. Slightly more than medium body, smooth and rounded mouthfeel. Very nice beer, actually. On tap at Olympen ("Lompa"), as "Lompas Vinter", renamed after Christmas. Black colour, moderate tan head. Nice aroma of mild coffee and dark malts, hints of chocolate and liquorice. The flavour is moderately roasty with a moderate malty sweetness, hints of dark chocolate. Quite good. yngwie (17049) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 16, 2010
On tap at Olympen. A black beer topped by a minimal tan head. Roasted and burnt malts in the aroma, along with some nice sourness and a little smoke or ashtray scent. Slightly smoked flavor, mostly roasted and charcoal-ish, some sourness too. Full-bodied and dry. Smooth, lasting finish. A pleasant mix. 091113

300ml, 2010 version, on tap, 6.3% ABV, at Olympen. Delicate served and presented with an almost pitch black body to a light brownish head. Chocolate malts along with liquorice to the nose. Ditto taste profile supported by earthy malts and offset by bittersweet fruits to the ending. Quite easy to drink (Oslo, 18.10.2010). larsga (7539) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 6, 2009
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2009 No real head, just a brown ring around the edge. Opaque black body goes almost translucent at edges. Fruity earthy prunes and chocolate aroma with sooty alcoholic notes. Sweet sooty chocolatey taste with earthy coffee notes. Fullish body. Mild mouthfeel. Low on carbonation. Dry-sweetish earthy licorice and chocolate aftertaste, quite mild and harmonic, ending in spicy notes.
