London Porter - has a lot to offer your tastebuds, this porter includes generous amounts of chocolate malts to render a mild roasty flavour but still a nice intensity. In addition we use balanced amounts of crystal malts and flavouring hops for a good fruitiness and aroma. To be served at 9-12 degrees C. Bottle conditioned - unfiltered and unpasteurised, no artificial carbonation. (Not to be confused with the stronger Haandbryggeriet Porter.) Wischylini's rating

   AROMA 8/10   APPEARANCE 5/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 16/20
Wischylini (310) - Grimstad, - NOV 18, 2013
Pours a slightly hazy orangey-brown, and a handsome, tan head forms nicely on top, where it remains for quite a while and leaves a satisfying lacing along the edge of the glass. Aromas on the nose are very mild, and mostly non-descript roasty malts. Aromas in the mouth are mainly hops and a mild coffee, with a nice hint of hazelnuts. The taste is slightly sweet, and with a nice, somewhat dry, finish. The mouthfeel is very soft, due to the low carbonation. Haandbryggeriets London Porter is mild, and perhaps not interesting, taste- and aroma-wise, but it is a nice session beer, and I bet it would be a great way to introduce those who prefer pale lagers to darker beers.

the aroma is caramel and fruity with hints of vanilla, toffee, bitter chocolate, raisin and brown sugar... the taste is caramel and chocolate with notes of roasted malt, toffee, vanilla, licorice, bisquit and toast... sweet and bitter aftertaste...

kokkenrolv (348) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 5, 2016
Bottle, batch #940. Aroma is roasted malts, hints of chocolate and coffee, some vanilla. Black, large light brown head. Light to medium sweetness, light bitterness, taste is coffee, coffee beans, some toffee, hints of licorice, vanilla, roasted notes. Medium body, medium to high carbonation, medium long finish with bitterness and astringency. Nice, but unbalanced, too much carbonation to my taste.

BlazerT (1105) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - JAN 31, 2016

AnG_BrgNor (719) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 29, 2016
Aroma of burnt wood, licorice and some coffe. Taste is much of the same, but the burnt wood is even more to significant. A little bit to much I think, but its a ok+ 4,7 porter. Ofcourse a little bit watery, but thats most of all 4,7 beers.

bbertels (484) - NORWAY - DEC 31, 2015
Bottle. Light black to dark brown ale - cappucino coloured. Very moderately carbonated. Taste medium. Coffee, a little caramel. Ok but not too exciting.
