COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is our new X-mas beer for the coming season. Milder and less powerful roasty taste than Nissefar. More maltiness from the crystal malts and more fruity taste from lots of aroma hops, incl a hard to describe taste from our secret ingredient.

Veldig god ale. Men ikke typisk julelsmak for min del. Flott mrk farge mye maltsmak . Anbefales. Testet den med sjokolade med 70 % kakao. Helt fantastisk

Bottle at home. Has a pretty hazy deep dark brown to black colour with a coffee-like beige head. Aroma of dark berries, roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, leather and a hint of smoke. Nice! The flavour is not far from the aroma but with a more roasted touch with some ash and oak. The mouthfeel is soft and rich, and has a medium bitterness. A full bodied ale for the great moments in front of the fire, and with a nice roasted touch.

Dark brown, cloudy body with a light-brown head of average size and longevity that doesnt leave much lacing on the glass. Moderate aroma with lots of soapy pine needles, it actually reminds me a lot of pine needle Grnnspe (Pine Sol). Also wood, bark and some spices. The taste is light sweet, a very light sourness and a moderate bitter and moderate dry finish. Flavours are dominated by those of the woods, e.g. pine needles and juniper berries. Also spices and yeast, and faint roasted notes and coffee. Medium body, dry texture and a very soft carbonation. A good one, with quite unusual aroma and flavour.

A bit too dark of an old ale style for my taste but for lovers of stout I think they would be pleased
