Bottle from trade with OleR,many thanks. Almost black colored beer with small espresso brown color. Coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla. Taste, dark malt, caramel, overlapped with coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, whiskey, wood. Coffee bitter finish. Extremely tasty Imperial Stout. allfreej (567) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUL 14, 2013
Dark-brown to black pour. Medium brown foamy head with great lacing.
Full mouthfeel, slightly slick.
Coffee, bittersweet chocolate, sandalwood in the nose.
Huge roasty malt. Sweet up front with a tangy, sour finish. Nice hint of alcohol warmth.
A great beer made better by barrel aging. I'll certainly seek out more of this and hope I can find a couple more bottles.

Sweet roasted malts. Huge dark malts. Wonderful burnt malts and huge sticky flavors. Keeps in your mouth for a while. TyggaBrown (438) - NORWAY - OCT 14, 2013
Fantastic and really black and heavy beer from this norwegian craft brewery! The taste is filled with sweetness and coffee and all the flavours you think of when sipping to your beer in front of the fireplace. Well-balanced, a bit bitter, and hints of smoke.

Pour jet black with very little head. Smells sweet like caramel. Taste is complex. Starts out sour almost like a dry red wine at first then gets sweeter and warmer more like a traditional stout. Being that a lot of reviews say this beer is sour I don’t think infection is the issue I think it’s meant to be that way and I really liked that quality actually. This is different than. Most stouts I’ve had and I really enjoyed it. esp0r (2934) - NORWAY - JUN 8, 2013
Sample from bottle at Haand Festival 2013
Pitch black, dark brown head. Smells of dark dark malts, coffee, liquorice, oak and roast. Medium sweet, very roasty, nice malt flavors, coffee and oak, more hints of liquorice, medium bitter finish. The time on oak has sure made this beer special. The texture is like motor oil (or somethin, i haven’t tasted motor oil), the oak works very nice with the heavy malts and the wild yeast. Totally just an exquisite beer experience
