COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Odins Tipple was meant to be a strong beer, but we changed our minds...its still strong but we wont follow the mega strong trend. It should be possible to make great beer without the extreme alcohol potency. Odins Tipple is now approx 11% abv, it’s a dark almost black beer from lots and lots of chocolate malt. Its the malt that contributes the flavor...no added coffee or anything else, Its got a great body without being old engine oil and still very drinkable due to the wild yeast we use. This beer is made with a single strain of wild yeast and the recipe is dead simple.

Aroma: rich and malty but not sweet; Appearance: almost pitch black with tan head that lingers; Taste:starts malty but turns very bitter; interesting to have an imperial stout without all the additives; Palate: heavy body with long, bitter and boozy finish; Overall: quite good and unexpected. Intense. Would get again if available.

Pours motor oil with mocha head. Aroma is roastiness for days, then chocolate, burnt brown sugar, treacle, some hint of toasted coffee beans and booze. Flavour is dark chocolate, deep roasted malts, coffee, brown sugar and sharp roastiness again. Bold body, creamy mouthfeel, very soft carbonation, warm booziness. Very huge imperial stout.

This was a disappointment for me. The flavor just seems thin. Not much going on.

Chocolate, coffee, alcohol, slightly yeasty, alcohol. Black colour, medium Brown head, lacing. Salty, ABV evident, medium bite, heavy sweet, lots of chocolate, kind of mellow and at the same time incredibly rich and powerful. Fullbodied, soft carbonation, oily feel, complex finish. Sublime.

330ml bottle. Black with one finger soft brown head. Malty aroma with chocolate, black bread, light roasted notes, a slight bitterness and a very very light funkiness in the background. Taste is equally malt dominated with dark chocolate, bitter roasted notes, a light black bread sweetness, minimal cold coffee and the same light funkiness as in the aroma adding an interesting livelier touch to the finish. Smooth filling mouthfeel, low carbonation and malty aftertaste with lingering alcohol warmth.

Black color with an incredible nitro-like soft tan head that coats the glass and just stays there as I drink it down. Roasted coffee aroma. Light bodied moderately sweet with some coffee notes and a light funkiness from the wild yeast with some stone fruit notes. Quite interesting/complex. Notes: On tap at Aces and Ales 11/20/2016
