Bottled, thanks Sigmund! Cloudy copper /amber colour, mid sized head. Balsamic cherry aroma. Tart with medium body and rounded, spritzy mouthfeel. Mildly tart with some marzipan and cherries. Low bitterness. Complex and interesting.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Stas. HAzy amber with an off-white head. Sour aroma, fruity, with a bit of vinegar, caramel and a spicy note. Sourish and slightly sweetish flavor, fruity, with a bit caramel, yeast, a bit of vegetables, an earthy note and a dry finish with a bit of bitterness. Medium-bodied. OK, expected more.

Well off came the cap and out came the beer...., all over the kitchen bench. Couldn’t wait for me to get a first whiff, this one was tickling my nose and leaking all over the place. Kept chilled for as long as I know, it was a bit rampant but in the glass it quickly settled to an opaque, pastel deep grapefruit. Head was a short-lived loft of white, receding to but a ring on the meniscus. Hessian sack, rust and fizz-whizz™ underlies some plump fruit, berries, must and dry oak, dust. Really tickles the nose, makes the eyes blink. Light plastic burn, light chemical backdrop, light raspy sharpness giving it a weedy character adds depth to the biting berry fruit and tightness of the yeast. Lightly hairy with a dryness supplanting the fruit tones. There is spice and sherbet notes; the body is moderate - dense for a Plambic. Sprightly and lively it moves with blatant ease. Lime peel and a hint of radicchio reside on the tongue. Alcohol has presence late when it’s fully warmed. I like it, but am at arm’s length. Not bad, just not breaking boundaries! (50cL, Brewed 23/08/12, Mane Liquor, Belmont)

Bottle from Mane Liquor shared with smelliot and ranga. Pours a hazy peachy pink colour with a lace driven beige head. Nose is distinctly red cherries with mild sherbet, candy sugar and grass. Very sweet and sour and super appealing stuff. Taste is very sugar driven - like sweet lollies with moderate sherbet through the middle and a very tarty and almost bitter sweet finish before the length of sourness. Extremely unusual stuff. I like it, couldn’t drink a huge amount of this though due to its sugary nature. Nice stuff

Many thanks to Palme for that one! Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass red-brownish, nice head. Sourish aroma. Starts malty and sourish, bitter background, quite dry. Fruity notes of cherries. Unbalanced. But gets better with every sip. Finish more balanced, less sourish, malty-fruity aftertaste. Okay!

teddybeer (4046) - Madrid, SPAIN - MAR 22, 2014
Reddish colour with a white head, good lasting and nice lacework, Aroma has notes of red fruits, acidic notes and fresh hops. Flavor is light sourish, very fruity predominating berries, cherries and red grapes, hints of wood and yeast with a medium bitterness and sweet hints. The final is a mix of cherries, berries, strawberries with a mild sourness and slightly dry mouthfeel.

500ml bottle. Pours a hazy crimson-tinted amber, with a moderate off-white head, which lasts well and leaves good lacing. Morello cherries, leathery funk and rye sourdough make up the aroma. Moderate sourness up front becomes a little stronger leading into the mid-palate, where it is joined by fruity black cherry. Leathery sourness and cherry make for an interesting finish, and there is a sour cherry aftertaste. This has a bit less depth and complexity than a lot of sour ales, but is still not too bad at all.

Fantastisk god fruktøl. Flott rød\rosa farge. Akkurat passe med kirsebær. Testet på Larvik mikrobryggeri.
