A Mes rate: Bottle at the Oi Oi Saveloy tasting at Chris O’s.Skyview (5907) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - MAY 20, 2008
Mid brown with a thin off white head. Sweet and fruity with some pleasant yeast and malt. Loads of berries actually. Very earthy. Not their best.
Bottle #102 sampled at BDR’s tasting and another beer shared by akevitt. Pours a semi-clear brownish amber brew with a thick off-white head that quickly disappears to a fine film and ring top. Aroma of roasted dark malt, some barnyard funk, Colby cheese, and some herbal spice. Taste is slightly sour, some carbonation with flavors of sour milk, caramel malt, and some tart citrus zest. Finish is a tad flat, metallic with a mild bitterness and roasted caramel malt flavor. It’s different compared most their other beers. fonefan (48622) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAY 6, 2008
Bottle @<a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/forums/cnudde-ølsmagn target=_new> Cnudde Tasting.. Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, spicy, odd - difficult to describe. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (290308) akevitt (97) - Valhalla, Minnesota, USA - APR 30, 2008
Bottle from trade with yngwie. Batch #102. This bottle might have been a little off. The beer was brown with thin tan foam. In the aroma I got sweet roasted malt, spices, and some funk (like sour expired food). As I let the beer breath that smell went away. In the flavor I got sweet roasted malt with faint hops and spices. Mildly astringent finish.
