Bottle. Pours dark brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma of smoke, dark fruit, and caramel. Flavor of smoked malts, caramel, dark fruit, ash, and some light spices Mikkmakk (24) - - JUN 18, 2015
Bottle. A somewhat strange concoction - for my palate. Greaty smoky maltflavour but the yeast kills it for my part. Not saying it’s a horrible beer but for me it’s a beer that tries to be a little to much. Nice try however. maekchu (4024) - Hirakata, JAPAN - MAY 6, 2015
Bottle. Light smoke, sweet dark fruitiness, and slight oxidation. Clear dull brown color. Rounded dark fruit in initial, small smoky malt notes, light prunes. Thin-medium body. Okay. Smoke is very mild. Some pronounced fruit notes. This one was a bit past its sell-by date. KyotoLefty (10603) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAY 5, 2015
Bottle. Fruity nose, caramel, light smoke. Seems a bit too old. Estery, roasty flavor, rather light smoke. Think this was sold too late. Ok.

How: Bottle. Appearance: Dark brown, large off-white head.. Aroma: Smoked meat, tobacco, malt . Palate: medium to full body, smooth carbonation. sulawang (1186) - - OCT 3, 2014
Visual: A rather simplistic label compared to their regular lineup. Pours cloudy beer bottle brown with a smallish very long lasting micro foamy head, a small layer of retention, a bit of lacing, tons of varied speed active streams.
Nose: Charcoal smoke immediately jumps out, malt, a bit of brown sugar, molasses. (lvl-6)-pungency
Attack: crisp, silky smooth mouthfeel, creamy
Mid-palate: (lvl-6)-sweetness, (MAIN) brown sugar liquid malt, cola, molasses, woodiness, hints of anise, coffee
Finish: minor smokiness, cacao nib bitterness, subtle soft bitter hops, malty sweet finish.
Summary: Quite and engaging cacao sweet malty beer that grabs and holds your attention. Excellent balance and "lightness" that keeps you sipping. tmrmwel (2204) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 3, 2014
Bottle, batch 460. Pours very dark mahogany, with a creamy mocha head. Aroma is burned malts with tobacco, leather and campfire, as well as coffee, dark fruits and kandi. Full creamy body with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet with burned malts with coffee and cocoa, as well as liquorice, tobacco, oak, heather and dark fruits. Lingering sweet finish with wooden barrels and vanilla. czar (9338) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 2, 2014
pours murky light brown with a very nice creamy beige head showing good retention and lacing. smoked dark spicy, fruity and nutty malts - never bacony, layered in nice smoky caramelized almonds, very woodsy if not woody - with its astringency, cherry piths and other red fruits, hint of sweetness - brown sugar, molasses and caramel, grassy and very peppery. light carbonation, light to medium body - oily, boozy and assertive astringent-woody-grassy-peppery finish. enjoyed a lot this one! dresden (1581) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - SEP 23, 2014
Thanks Tony! Reddish brown, mostly clear. Aroma is smoky bacon. Flavour is quite deceiving, the smoke is strong, but it’s certainly not overpowering, and the beer is actually lighter in body than i had expected. Its really quite nice. Smoke and caramel, wood and fruit. Neat.
