COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Røyk Uten Ild (Smoke Without Fire) is our smoky beer, here we have tried to make a beer as smoky as we can using our smoked malt from Weiermann. We have made a fairly dark and flavourful beer. Apart from the special malt the rest of the malt bill (86%) is smoked malt. You could also say that this is a smoked wheat beer, because we have used our wheat beer yeast here. The beer is not scary but actually very nice even for those that aren’t smoke beer fanatics....try it and you will see. Contains malted barley, Amarillo hops, wheat beer yeast, and lots of smoked malt from Bamberg, Germany. 8% alc, 33 ibu, 48 ebc. Serving temp 8 - 12C or 46 - 53F.

Bottle from GBX. Pours very dark with a lovely head. This is seriously good, The aroma is smoky and meaty with a faintly fruity backdrop. The palate is rich and creamy to compliment the smoked meat flavor. I get notes of leather, figs and assertive smoke. More smoked meat rather than burning wood or ashiness. Superbly well balanced, flavorful and intense. The finish is dry. Reminds me of HoD Adam a little bit.

Pours dark brown but ends up looking black in the glass. Gives a small brown head. Nose is bacon, ashtray, grease, burnt wood and hamburger. A&W bacon double in my glass. Flavor is sweet, mildy bitter with a great smoke profile. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, heavy body with a long smokey aftertaste. Wonderful.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. A black beer, with a bijou ring of beige froooth. A smoked beer. Yes, the smoke rises and rises, becoming more and more compelling. Subtle, but firm and full. Really good stuff - smoke in a beer, but as a integral part, rather than an either/or upfront massive smell. Liked it. Yes. Liked it.

Bottle, bought @ Kihoskh, Cph.
Clear deep chestnut with a big, staying, frothy, beige head. Amazing duration - almost seems to enhance with time. Aroma has lots of smoke, mild chocolate, light peity, caramel sweetness and a bit of piney hops. Medium to low carbonation, great creamy and light dry mouthfeel. Flavour is mild sweet, good grainy malts, fine smoke with a tar-like tartness to it. Lovely dark chocolate notes and some fine roasted malts. Really a very lovely beer.

500ml bottle. Pours a near-opaque chestnut-flashed black, with a small but long-lasting off-white head. Smoky, bacon-like aromas mix with a touch of cream and some berry notes. Prickling, herbal hops to start, moving into a body which is both creamy and nicely dry and smoky. A smoke-infused finish of bacon notes lingers nicely. A smooth and subtle smoked beer - delicious.

50cl bottle from Alvinne Biershop, this beer rocks!! Batch# 426, BB 01-11-2013.

From bottle. Amazing smoky aroma, not overpowering and not subtle, just right. For flavor I’m picking up dark cherry, hickory, a bit of chocolate. All work well together. Would love to air this with BBQ brisket.
