Clear ruby red beer with a medium sized, quite shortlasting, brownish head. Aromas of caramel malt, chocolate, dark fruits, sour fruits. Taste is malty, nutty, tobacco, medium sweet and a bit bitter. Alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, flat carbonation. Hmm. Rugamu (174) - SPAIN - FEB 14, 2017
Gran doppelbock, sabor intenso nada lupulado que se hace una delicia en la boca. Repetiré sin dudar.

Bottle. Moderate to heavy roasted, caramel and cereal for the malt, light herbs for the hops, moderate broth and leather for the yeast, with notes of toffee, tobacco, brown sugar and faint spice in the background. Head is large, creamy turning rocky, light tan with good slippery lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is murky dark rusty brown. Flavor starts moderately sweet and slightly acidic, then finishes moderately sweet and slightly bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, creamy with a soft carbonation. Excellent Doppelbock with a bit more richness than others.

I bought this bottle in Munich during a short stay this winter, I drank it at home tonight before the lunch. In my opinion, it is a delicious doppel bock, well balanced, powerful taste in the mouth, we feel a bit that it is already at 8.1%. The body is
brown and copper, average carbonation, thin foam. The taste is sweet, malty, ginger bread, a little smocked and a bit watery with a final a bit agressiv with the alcohol but it is definitely a good product. Zlotta (3823) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - AUG 29, 2016
0.5 l bottle from local ’trinkgut’, best before September 2016. Clear, dark amber with a medium large, slightly creamy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, moderately fruity aroma of caramel, treacle, raisins, prunes and brown sugar. Rather sweet, malty and a bit fruity taste of caramel, brown sugar, treacle, raisins and prunes, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little warming-alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Really well-balanced, round and quite intense Doppelbock. Tasty! User369532 (909) - - JUL 6, 2016
UPDATED: JUL 7, 2016 Bottle. Chestnut color, hazy liquid, white head. Smell of caramel. Aroma of honey, caramel, wheat. Heavy malty. Taste is medium heavy sweet, light bitter. Very good, but could be less sweet. ironprog (98) - Florida, USA - JUL 4, 2016
500 ml bottle. Pours a muddy, medium brown, with a mocha head that dissipates quickly. Dark coffee and chocolate are the most prominent scents, with a slight hint of ripe banana underneath. It is medium-heavy in sweetness with flavors of coffee, caramel, and Kaluha. Full-bodied with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. The finish is mildly bitter and is where you really get a lot of the "alcohol" taste. Overall, I find this to be a great beer and don’t really have much to quibble about other than to complain that I don’t have another one waiting for me in the fridge. :) ForlornHope (537) - Hampshire, ENGLAND - MAY 21, 2016
Bottle at home. Pours amber-red with a pillowy off-white head that diminishes a bit. Aroma is bready, yeasty, with notes of marzipan and leafy hop. The taste is initially sweet, then a good balance of gentle bitterness follows. The malt is rich and fruity, with fruity backtastes and more leafy hop and marzipan to follow. The carbonation is gentle and each sip is more satisfying. For the strength, this is very drinkable. Nice.
