Draught at The Abbot on the Hill Oktoberfest Dinner. Light golden with a small white head. Fresh aroma of bread crust & herbs, with some cut grass notes as well. Crisp body. Very fresh flavour, crisp and summery, with an excellent flavour balance and a dry, moreish finish. Very good! SkyCop32 (287) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - DEC 20, 2008
This poured a clear to golden color with a hoppy aroma and hints of grass. This was very much like a german Pils, mostly water. After a few beers this would have very little taste. but in the end, it is a good pils. barncatmatt (2286) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 9, 2008
on tap at the castle on king. enjoyed because of the suggestion of jessem. golden with a tight white head and beautiful lacings all down the glass. some haze would have made this a five in appearance. aroma is quite hoppy with bready malt background. very fresh and clean aroma. something im sure ill miss once the castle is gone. flavours are very hop driven. classic noble hops with some german pils malts supplying the canvas for the hops to come to life. ive never really seen a classic german pils shine before but this one showed me the light. a big thanks to jesse and a huge thanks to the castle for providing the opportunity to try this rare specimen before fading into obscurity. to the castle on king......YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!!!

On tap at the Castle and Kind. Medium yellow, good sized white head. Some faint metallic notes in aroma, with some pleasing light hops and fresh light malt. Taste - again, a little metallic at first, followed by some nice hops and malt. Grassy. Really improves as it sits, hops came through nicely toward the middle of the glass. A decent quencher. Small, fast gone white head over golden beer. Spilled milk smell, slightly grassy, going over into neutral-malty. Strangely, taste give slight but discernably toasted malts in the flavour. Falls flat, leaving a flavour as from oxydated rice. Very dead MF, light body. Ho-hum pils, certainly for a German one. imdownthepub (14552) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 3, 2008
Bottled, 500ml swing top, from REAL Supermarket, Bamberg. Gold with white head. Quite a straight forward Pilsener, light malty, slightly grainy and wet paper body with a delicate, but distant lemon hop not, more oily than sharp. In fact the whole beer could do with being a little sharper, for me. ogivlado (7810) - Zagreb, CROATIA - AUG 27, 2008

Draught at Bayerischer Donisl, Munich.
Golden coloured, small white head, odd barnyard caramel nose. Malty, light hoppy and grainy taste with notes of cardboard and maize. Bitterish hoppy herbal finish and aftertaste. Lousy milestone.
(Bottle) Pours golden. The aroma is of white bread, grain and a straw-like maltiness with herbal hops to back it up. The flavour is of wet cardboard/paper, grassy/herbal hops and straw-like malt. Light buttery. The mouthfeel is tight and cardboard dry. Light sweet and light to medium bitter. Medium bodied.
