On tap at Bitter in Vancouver. A very dark amber beer with a bit of head. Sweet caramel and fruit nose. In the mouth it is quite delectably sweet, fruity and malted. Very low bitterness, natch. Sweet lingering finish. 3.6.

UPDATED: MAR 3, 2016 Draught at the Bedford-Bamberg Beer Festival 2014. Orange-brown and cloudy as hell. Traditional Hefeweizen banana/clove scent, but so much more: notes of sour citrus, bitter chocolate and malt are also detectable. The taste doesn’t live up to the aroma, with a sweet rush if banana-flavoured candy and a short finish. Still, an honest beer, true to its style, and overall a lovely experience.

Draft to taster. Looks good for the style; a cloudy orangish brown with foamy off-white head. Smells of hefe yeast with notes of clove and some dark fruit. A bit of breadiness as well. Tastes like it smells, it not as balanced (more bready). Average on the palate. Not bad, but smells better than it tastes.

Bottle. Pours a brown color with a decent sized foamy off white head. Notes of nuts, burnt bread, cloves, candi sugar, and wheat. Kind of a grainy mouthfeel and finish.

Pours a cloudy brown amber with a slowly fading beige head. Aroma and tat of wheat, some mild banana notes and grass, light caramel, yeast flavors as well. A medium body with mild carbonation. The finish the same as taste with a bit of a nutty yeast ending, mild wheat flavor. An enjoyable brew

Great dark wheat. Very estery lots of bananas after that hits your palette a sweet malty flavor hits. Carbonation is fairly high I was surprised. This beer is an easy drink. Over all its one you should put in your repertoire of awsome brews.

50cl bottle from Tengelmann in Munich. Pours a deep amber colored body with just a slight orange hue. Inch thick, creamy, foamy and frothy, tan head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is fairly sweet malts with some caramel and wheats, soft clove spices, a light banana ester, some bread, and a touch of citrus. Flavor is grainy and bready wheats with some caramel, a light banana, some clove, and a touch of citrus. Finishes clean and very lightly tart before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Medium body and a soft, moderately lively carbonation. Overall, a nice dunkelweizen. Clean, easy drinking, well balanced, and enjoyable. Good one.
