On tap - unfortuately, I didn’t have my notepad with me so I’m rating this from memory. I do remember that it was refreshing and overall pretty good.

Draft in Florida. Hazy amber color with a moderate white head that diminished slowly. Medium citrus wheat aroma. Medium body with sticky texture. Good sweet flavor with a moderate sour finish. Good brew.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2006 Deep gold body with lemon highlights and soft head. The spritzy aroma is mostly esthery-yeast, but also some earthy malt pushes through. The wheat lends itself to a smooth, velvetty mouthfeel that compliments the medium body. More banana/clove esthers are apparent throughout the body, but in good proportion to the wheat malt. Hints of caramel and fruity apple also come through in the finish. This is a textbook Hefe.

The aroma is bananas, toasted wheat, and yeast. The appearance is a hazy gold and the head is persistent. The flavor is very nice. It is crisp and clean with citrus, malt and toffee. The palate is somewhat thin but somehow it avoids being watery. Light aftertaste is somewhat bitter. Easy drinking beer.

My first weisse beer, many years ago in Chicago. Good stuff. If you catch it near the end of its shelf life the sourness can be quite pleasing.

Bottle. Wunderfull creamy mostly lasting head. A bit sour aroma, gets better along the way. Also harsh flavour. Palate to fizzy. Not a fantastic hefe.

Amber colour with a huge long lasting white head. Sour citrous aroma. Fresh flavour of yeast and hobs and citrous. Medium body. A bit over rated.

Bottle. Poured out a cloudy light brown with a nice off white head. Aroma is wheat, pie spices, banana and a touch of citrus. Palate is medium bodied with nice fizz, but definitely a little heavier than most hefes I have had. The flavor was strong on wheat with some banana and a touch of citrus coming through, and a nice yeast finish. If more hefes were like this I think I would appreciate them more. Very good.
