Review sample, labeled as Hacker-Pschorr Weiss. Pours a big fluffy head in a tall glass, darker in color, a bit cloudy but more like an American wheat beer than a Hefe Weizen. Slight smell with just a little bit of fruity esters and a slightly spicy compliment from wheat malt. The taste does have a little bit of bubblegum and a slight touch of banana. Not as much spice as we know Weizen, again close to an American wheat style. The sweetness is subdued so there’s not as much need for hops to balance it. The fruit and bubble gum in the nose are not as apparent in the taste. It is a little ticket than a Hefe, or for that matter, than a typical lawn mower beer, so be seated while you enjoy. No lemon, please. Some yeast sediment at the bottom but it’s too solid to pour into your glass.

Import Bottle. I've enjoyed this as a draft a few times, so how does a bottle taste after a long journey? Quite the same. I'm enjoying this as a "commuter speacial" (out of the bottle in a brown paper sack on the train). Good spicy weiss smell, actually a tad understated. Cloudy body. Full banana and clove taste, with a hint of lemon. A nice little head works up in the bottle. And a fine, playful effervescence on the tongue. A fine, fine beer.

0.5L bottle. Pours cloudy orange brown with a thick fluffy head. Aroma of banana, wheat, spices/herbs. Taste is sweet, banana, wheat, mild spices, citrus. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, average carb. Somewhat sweeter than I was expecting.

Thnx to SinH4 ( I think, i have so many beers coming in these days ) for the trade . Regarded a top-style example by BJCP, huray to that ! Pours dark, very cloudy blonde to amber. medium white head with medium low stability. Smell is very creamy, banana esthers ( 4VG ) milder phenolic in the back ( cloves ) . No hoparoma, no detected off-flavors. Taste is sharp, intense phenolic, as well as esthers ( contradicting the scent, the phenols are much intenser in the taste ) . very creamy body, sharp, medium ( perhaps a touch higher than medium) carbo. Ends very creamy, esthers, wheat, Very balanced troughout the whole experience. Tad bitter. not bad at all !

Creamy beige head left a good cover on a murky light brown, still body - Looks tremendous! Sweet, yeast, wheat & malt aroma. Medium bodied & super smooth with a tingle on the back. Big fruity tastes of sweet grape, summer berries, peach, banana & vanilla with a yeasty backbone.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2017 Aroma is sweet and nice, no dust, little spice, just bananas and cloves and goodness. Ripe bananas in the taste, slight acidity, wet wheat. Very good.

500 ml bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a very nice foamy and stable head. Perfect look. Clove, citrus, estery notes, some banana, some hints of vanilla and other spices. Very balanced and mild taste. Some sweetness, some acidity, some bitterness. Fizzy carbonated, dry finish, creamy texture, medium to full bodied. Very nice Weißbier.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2017 Pint from tap at Donisl (Munich). Wheat beer, with a touch to banana, and really nice body
