Pours hazy deep gold with a prolific thick white head, diminishes quickly. Prototypical hefe weisse aroma and taste. Really quite a good beer with a good price point and broad distribution make this classic beer a winner.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2017 Aroma is sweet and nice, no dust, little spice, just bananas and cloves and goodness. Ripe bananas in the taste, slight acidity, wet wheat. Very good.

500 ml bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a very nice foamy and stable head. Perfect look. Clove, citrus, estery notes, some banana, some hints of vanilla and other spices. Very balanced and mild taste. Some sweetness, some acidity, some bitterness. Fizzy carbonated, dry finish, creamy texture, medium to full bodied. Very nice Weißbier.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2017 Pint from tap at Donisl (Munich). Wheat beer, with a touch to banana, and really nice body

Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into weizen glass.
Appearance: Hazy ocher colour, with rich creamy head.
Aroma: Yeast, wheat, metallic, hint of banana.
Palate: Light body, medium carbonation.
Taste: Wheat, yeast, bread, fruits, hoppy aftertaste
Overall impression: Good and tasty enough, but I had bigger expectations.

11.2oz bottle. Pours a hazy apricot-gold with a large off-white head. Aroma is wheat, banana, yeast, coriander, and clove. Taste is sweet; banana, coriander, some citrus, yeast, light bubblegum, and a little vanilla. Light tanginess to the citrus. Slight bitterness. Light-medium body. Moderate carbonation. Oily mouthfeel.

From Dec 2007

This pours from 500ml bottle a cloudy orange-yellow with a small head of foam.

The smell is of wheat and citrus.

The taste has a very nice wheat flavour with a nice refreshing fruity profile of apricot and banana. A small dose of clove on the side. Very tasty and, yet again, very refreshing. One of the better samples of the style that I've tried. Worth a repurchase, for sure.

It pours deep golden color with big white head. Good foam retention.
It smells more citrus than other traditional weizens, but it's dominated by banana and clove.
Taste is sweet wheat malt, banana, spicy phenols and slightly citrus.
Light to medium bodied and it has moderate carbonation.
Not special, but very easy to drink and quite refresher.

11.2 oz bottle poured at him. Hazy golden amber spicy banana ester. Nice mouthfeel good head. Easy to see why this beer has been going strong for 600 years. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
