Hazy, deep gold pour with a blonde head. Has a nice subtle aroma of hay and sweetgrass. Flavour is fresh and light with a good mouthfeel coating of honey, followed by hay, grains, pine, grass, hops, zest, spices, etc. Really nice! CStang67 (28) - - MAY 6, 2015
AROMA: Malty with a slight Barnyard aroma. Not much hop aroma to speak of.
APPEARANCE: Deep golden color with a nice white head the quickly fades to a very thin layer on the beer. Some lacing
TASTE: Rich maltyness with some spicy hop notes coming through. Good bitterness that evens out the sweet malt perfectly. There is a hint of caramel, maybe from a decoction mash. The alcohol is there in the finish and complements the beer nicely.
PALATE: Crisp and fizzy on the palate. Medium body with a slight oily feeling left in the mouth. The Alcohol leaves a long finish.
OVERALL: Really good Maibock. Perfect for an early spring day where is still chilly enough to want a big beer. Very Good!!!

On tap at South Street Maifest. Pours pale yellow with a thin white head with just a little lacing. Aroma is of bready malts, fruits, sweet malts, grassy hops, some spicy hops, and some pine. Taste is about same as the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi watery mouthfeel and a semi dry, slightly bitter, medium-short finish. Overall, a decently tasty, easy drinking beer that went nice with the bratwurst I had with it. jflopsu (1613) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 2, 2015
