Pour from a 500ml bottle. Clear deep golden brew with one finger of white head that lingers on. Great lacing. Aroma of sweet malt, Aroma of caramel and spice. Taste is sweet sweet sweet caramel up front, very malty, respectable hops in the finish with a spicy aromatic floral push that blunts the sweetness, though still leaves a sweet finish. As it warms to room temperature a bit of alcohol becomes apparent. Excellent palate. tnkw01 (1753) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 13, 2015

Nice golden color for a lager. Easily the maltiest lager I can remember. Germans know their beer. S_Side_Smitty (775) - Lakeland, Florida, USA - JAN 16, 2015
Pours light yellow-gold with a medium white head. Aroma is nice light grains and some faint molasses & clove. Taste is very bready with wheatfield grains and heavy syrup. Has a heavy mouthfeel and a slightly odd clove flavor that comes out in the finish. Overall, not bad. Cybercat (5835) - Georgia, USA - DEC 27, 2014
Pours clear golden Amber with a thin eggshell head. Crisp aroma is malty and fruity with a hint of hops. Flavor is boldly malty and surprisingly hoppy, and has a nice fruity underpinning of pear and banana with a little apple. Refreshing, enjoyable! Texture is fizzy, firm, a bit powdery, leaving a sweetish malty and fruity finish that has a snip of hops and honey. Rock out with your Bock out!

Bottle purchased at 41st ave. liquors in Capitola just past its best by date. It pours a clear golden color with a white head. The aroma is malty sweet with notes of fruit and honey. Very mild floral hops. The flavor is mildly bready and lightly toasty malt. Some distant notes of dried apricot and honey with slight floral bitterness in the finish. Light bodied for the style but still flavorful and drinkable. gschrade (1092) - Collinsville, Illinois, USA - OCT 2, 2014
I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste sweet, bready, fruit. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.

Appearance: Pours a clear, bubbly, golden-hued body with a thin sliver of orange to it. Smallish, near-white head.
Smell: Subtly bready, a little sweetish spiced honey tone edged with notes of apple and sulphur.
Taste: Lightly bready, grainy malts conjoined with a modest tanginess and honeyed sweetness. Touch of dried, astringent herb and crisp appleskin. Very, very low accent from the warming alcohol. Semi-dry, soft finish with a slight, lasting sulphury accent on the back half.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: A fairly tidy, sufficient bock.
pours unclear light yellow with a very small white cap showing very little retention, no lacing per say. sweet grains - honeyed and doughy malts, grassy nobleness, pepper, other spices, well integrated alcohol. light carbonation - could be brighter, medium body - oily and a bit sticky, semi-sweet and woodsy-peppery-grassy finish. feels a tad muted - near BB date i must say. i can still appreciate its qualities. Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass
Appearance- Served a straw golden colored brew with a one finger white head. The head had a moderate level of retention, fading over time to give a light level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is rather light overall and is mainly of a sweeter caramel smell mixed with some grainy aromas. Mixed with these smells is a light bit of floral hop in the nose.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready and malty taste with a rather moderate amount of a caramel sweetness. Some other fruity flavors come to the tongue more toward the middle, with their nature being of lighter fruits, such as apple and pear. More toward the end the caramel fades a bit while the bready and some slightly grainy flavor of the brew are met with an arrival of a lightly herbal and floral hop flavor that leave a nice, still sweet, and malty flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the average to slightly thicker side with a carbonation that is on the average to slightly lower side. Both do well for accentuating the malts and grain quite well, but yet do not sacrifice the drinkability and smoothness of the brew.
Overall – A rather tasty, quite easy drinking, malty and somewhat sweeter bock. A good one to try.
