Enjoyed on tap at Huber Haus in Omaha, NE in spring 2012
Review from notes
Served in a dimpled Weihenstephan mug
Arrives with a huge head that settles to a 0.5cm cap of foam atop the beer. Lacing is significant, a variety of shapes or patterns clinging to the sides of the glass. Body is a golden orange color, transparent with plenty of visible carbonation.
Malty, bready aroma with flowery hop presence are the dominant scents, with a background that is slightly grainy and honey-like. Not overly complex, but fairly deep and rich, allowing for it to be enjoyably breathed in frequently.
Opens with fairly bright, though still heavy in intensity, caramel malts, backed up by mild honey-like flavors and hop bitterness that is attenuated just under the malt. Mid-palate picks up waves of malt complexiy, from light to fairly caramelized malt sugars. Hop presence becomes somewhat flowery and slightly bitter. This is followed on back of tongue by darker malt sweetness and flowery hops. Lingering bitterness with mild caramel sweetness in the aftertate.
Medium-bodied with carbonation that is at first crisp, then peters out and leads to a smooth mouthfeel. Aftertaste is semi-dry, with some stickiness from malts. drpimento (3633) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 9, 2014
Pretty good beer, matches the labels' description, tho not so special as to merit this treatment. Nice color, aroma, taste, body, finish.

Very impressed with the all around flavor of this beer. Appearance could be better, but the taste is what counts. crossovert (12897) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 16, 2011
On tap. It is fabulous. Thick, rich caramel flavors blend with a subtle bit of noble hops for an easy-drinking but full-flavored experience. JonMoore (2067) - Loughborough, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 3, 2005
Nice clear golden colour, with slim white head. Sweet malty aroma. Sweet malty taste, with fruits (pear), caramel, honey and a light bitter finish. Low carbonation, nice creamy mouthfeel, yet it is surprisingly light and drinkable. IMO a superior bock.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste sweet, bready, fruit. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.

translucent orange-gold with a creamy white head. medium body with high carbonation.Cybercat (5832) - Georgia, USA - DEC 27, 2014
aroma: bready, salty, pilsner malt, herbal hops.
taste: pilsner malt, salty minerality, munich malt, herbal floral hops.
balanced and simple, very drinkable. great classic example.
Pours clear golden Amber with a thin eggshell head. Crisp aroma is malty and fruity with a hint of hops. Flavor is boldly malty and surprisingly hoppy, and has a nice fruity underpinning of pear and banana with a little apple. Refreshing, enjoyable! Texture is fizzy, firm, a bit powdery, leaving a sweetish malty and fruity finish that has a snip of hops and honey. Rock out with your Bock out! Got Stout? (173) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 13, 2001
One very good beer...not seasonal, which is good! I am very impressed by the consistantcy of the beer; every batch is the same. A good traditional Bock
