The pleasure of yesteryear
Velvety matte shine – Smooth, full-bodied flavor
Munich Kellerbier Anno 1417 shines with a seductive golden honey color. A beer with a distinctive character: earthy, bold, quaffable and yet refreshingly mild and light. Just like a real Bavarian.

Creamy and effervescent, typical of unfiltered beers, a delightful ticklish mouthfeel. Aromas of caramel, honey and plum dominate and emphasize the beer’s malty, spicy flavor. Unmistakable hints of apple and grapefruit bring in a fruity freshness.

Our Munich Kellerbier, a beer like from the good old days when beer was born. After aging four weeks, it is bottled unfiltered, which still preserves all its yeast vitamins and trace elements.

Since 1417, Hacker Pschorr stands for traditional Bavarian brewing. The quality beers of Hacker-Pschorr are all brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law and contain only hops, malt and water. 12.5°

Pours translucent, golden yellow. White head with small bubbles. Definitely unfiltered. Aroma is hops, banana. Spicy on the front, with maybe a hint of citrus. Mouthfeel is clean, finish is crisp, not sticky.

50cl fliptop, local Edeka. - harmonious cloudy Keller with a fair amount of lemonade sweetness and decent hops (although including Hopfenextrakt). Prefer my Kellerbiere a bit creamier, but drinkable.

500 ml bottle. Pours orange troubled , nice creamy foam not lasting. Aroma: spices, caramel and lemon. Taste is simple malt, caramel, but a light body and too watery. Nothing complex here, still enjoyable and very easy to drink.

Orange golden color, small head. Sweet malty aroma, malty and yeasty taste, sweet and dry with lightly bitter finish. Nicely balanced and refreshing beer.

Bottle at Bayernhaus, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a broken thin white head. The aroma is very malty which is precisely where the flavour is at too. It’s a little bitter and there are some yeasty notes on the palate. It’s a rather inoffensive beer that won’t win many friends, but at the same time won’t make too many enemies either!

50cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours a cloudy dark golden with a decent head for a lager. The nose has initially a fresh zestiness but this falls away and there’s a big honey and breakfast cereal note that follows it. The taste has more honey nut cornflakes with not enough freshness at the end for my liking. The palate as implied is medium bodied with a big rich and quite sweet texture in the middle and there is a lack of a clean finish. Overall, nice but not refreshing enough. Glad I’ve tried it though.

500ml bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo. Malty and sweet aromas, along with some hay ones. Pours hazy golden, with minimal white head, some persistent, some lacework. Light to medium body, average to soft carbonation, oily texture. Taste is quite sweet, malty, slightly spicy. Sweet aftertaste. Not bad but not one of my fav. Keller beers. Sabores dulces, maltosos, ligeramente especiados. Retrogusto dulce. Me quedo con otras Keller.
