The pleasure of yesteryear
Velvety matte shine – Smooth, full-bodied flavor
Munich Kellerbier Anno 1417 shines with a seductive golden honey color. A beer with a distinctive character: earthy, bold, quaffable and yet refreshingly mild and light. Just like a real Bavarian.

Creamy and effervescent, typical of unfiltered beers, a delightful ticklish mouthfeel. Aromas of caramel, honey and plum dominate and emphasize the beer’s malty, spicy flavor. Unmistakable hints of apple and grapefruit bring in a fruity freshness.

Our Munich Kellerbier, a beer like from the good old days when beer was born. After aging four weeks, it is bottled unfiltered, which still preserves all its yeast vitamins and trace elements.

Since 1417, Hacker Pschorr stands for traditional Bavarian brewing. The quality beers of Hacker-Pschorr are all brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law and contain only hops, malt and water. 12.5°

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2017 Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from local ’trinkgut’ as ’Hacker-Pschorr Naturtrübes Kellerbier’, best before April 2018. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a white head. Slightly sweetish, a bit malty, moderately grassy aroma of caramel, straw and hints of honey. Sweetish, rather malty, quite grassy taste of grains, straw, some honey and hints of caramel, followed by a short, slightly bitter, rather grassy finish with a touch of cardboard. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay!

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield. Hazy, orange gold. Thin and sticky, lasting, white head. Looks like a new fangled IPA. Nose has damp, sweet grain. Soft herb and spice. Bit of white pepper. Taste is soft and spicy sweet. Some herb bitterness. Medium body. Soft carbonation. More soft spice to finish.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 12.10.2017, at München, Tartu, 20170730) Probably an alias to the ordinary Kellerbier. The beer poured deep golden and rather cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, malts and mildly caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, fruitiness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was grassy, sweet and bitter. A weakish kellerbier - too thin.

I drank this beer from the tap, at the Terme Giunone, at Caldeiro, close to Verona. The weather was really hot, perfect beer for that. Honestly, I was not impressed by this one. It is average but nothing more. Firstly, the body is a nice troubled orange/yellow color, thin and white foam. The taste is really watery, some malt, few touch of honey, a bit fruity, few hop. The carbonation is a bit low for the style. This keller could have more aroma, I had better ones, of course it is drinkable.

Served on tap. Cloudy, gold colour. Creamy white head, medium persistence. Medium-high carbonation. Very low floral hop aroma. Moderate-low bitterness. Clean malt flavour. Medium body. 5.5% Abv perfectly masked. A good summer bier, but nothing remarkable.
