ElDesmadre (3630) - Mikołów, POLAND - JUL 17, 2011
Bottle. Golden with a moderately frothy head. Aroma is malt and citrus, taste is malt, citrus and some hops, finished by a light bitterness. I am not a fan of the style but this may be the best helles I’ve yet had.

Bottle. Clear yellow with a medium sized good lacing white head. Sulphur, citrus, herbal, paper, grain. Light/medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, medium sweet and light/medium bitter. I like the nose, but the flavour is a bit dull and sweet.

Fairly unimpressive lager aroma. Some hops on the taste. Standard German lager. Improved by savage heat wave

Towey1989 (3324) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 23, 2017
Bottle at BeerDock Leek. Pours a clear golden colour with medium white head. Aroma of bready malts, grain, subtle wheetabix and slight herbal hops. Taste of bready and cereal malts, a hint of lemon and subtle herbal hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A dryish, crisp and clean, malty bitterness in the finish. More on the maltier side with a hint of traditional German hops. Crisp, clean and refreshing just nothing special. Typical Helles really.

Draft. Pours golden with white head. Not my favorite Helles, but eminently drinkable w/malt and grassiness.

2.8
TEJA (3292) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 31, 2012
Short beige head. Clear yellow color. To start it has a short sulphur aroma then malty aroma. Nice malty taste with a small bitterness and small sweetness.

Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - JUN 30, 2013
50cl swing-top bottle from just about any grocery store in Munich. Pours a crystal, yellow-gold colored body with an inch thick, frothy and foamy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is lightly sweetened pils malts, some fruity notes, and touches of straw. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened pils malts with a few fruity notes and touches of straw. Finishes pretty clean and somewhat dry before leaving a short aftertaste. Light body and a somewhat active carbonation. Overall, a decent Helles. Nothing special, but no off-flavors and it was pretty easy drinking.
