Puck me thats a good looking beer. Beautiful dark yellow colour with a big fluffy head. Gives off a biscuity, pubby aroma. Its a pleasure to drink through that nice, soft head. Great texture, full bodied. Taste is refreshing yet hearty, subtle yet charming. Well balanced. Just a damn good lager beer.

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2017 500ml .Swing Top. A good dark kraut lager . Malty atmosphere . Very easy to chug and despite being a mainstream Kellerbier, it retains some rustic character ...hay,brown bread, toasted vibes. You can taste the haystack texture where the farmers daughter was conceived in a lingering citrus swallow refresh.

Birra dal color giallo paglierino al dorato opalescente. Schiuma cremosa e moderatamente persistente. All’olfatto sentori di caramello, miele e frutta secca. Al palato corpo medio con note di frutta secca e agrumi. Una birra molto beverina.

500ml bottle from M&S. Pours a hazy golden amber with a white head. Big bready and grainy malt in the nose. Caramel, bread, cereal, grain, honey and a touch of grapefruit in the taste. Really smooth fantastic hit the spot style beer. The Germans know how to brew their beers!! This is extremely tasty stuff.

500ml. bottle in Mae Kasa, Thailand. Pours a hazy yellowish with a frothy head. Aroma of malt and hops with a mild fruitiness. Rather subtle. Taste is better pronounced with fruity, malty sweetness. Mild carbonation and watery mouthfeel. Drinkable but not as vibrant as some other Kellerbiers.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Marks and Spencer. Pours a golden orange with a very slight amount of cloudiness and a foaming white head. Remarkably clear for an unfiltered beer. The nose is sweet malts and honey. The taste is also quite sweet, with toffee and honey predominating, and some notes of apple and plums. Medium bitter finish. A nicely balanced beer with a good mouthfeel. Not greatly exciting, but very pleasant to drink.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: slightly hazy medium gold with two fingers of rocky white head, moderate retention and patchy soapy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: bready caramel malt, honey, light apple, earth. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-low bitter. (6/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, short duration mild bitter finish. (3/5)
The beer is fine - it’s not as crisp and clean as the Munich Gold, but as a Kellerbier, I wouldn’t have expected it to be. It’s not exciting, but there’s no doubt it’s very well done. But I absolutely love the “Awww yis, gonna get my drunk on” expression of the dude on the label. Been there, dude, been there. (12/20)
