Unser Oktoberfestbier ist die hellere Variante des traditionellen Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest Märzen. Sie hat sich im Laufe der letzten Jahrzehnte fest auf der „Münchner Wiesn“ etabliert und sich gegen das ursprünglich dunklere Märzen durchgesetzt.

Draft. Lightly buttery barley malt and hay aroma. Golden yellow with large head. Moderately sweet barley malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Nice body. Smooth - this was my 4th liter of beer during Oktoberfest so some of the subtle nuances may have escaped me.

From a bottle. Deep dark amber body with a good head. Malt dominated and aroma and flavor, but with more hops appearing in the mildly bitter flavor. Medium body and carbonation.

Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a medium amber color. Aromas of roast malts, caramel, and a touch of spice(ginger?). Flavor has a nice smooth sweet roasted taste. A little bitter on the finish.

On tap @ Haket Pub. Amber with a medium off white head. Malty and fruity tones. Malt, caramel, fruit and hops. Medium body with a nice bitter sweet finish.

500ml bottle(from ALDI) into weizen glass. Faint malt nose. Crystal clear orange/bronze beer with two finger fluffy white head. A few bubbles ascend. Slight zing in the mouth, grainy taste. Finish is short with touches of grain, fruit and a little caramel malt. Easy drinking if unspectacular.

Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweetish and malty with notes of caramel and ripe fruits. Taste is malty too with caramel, nuts and a hint of honey. Finishes with moderate bitter notes. A very good Märzen. (0,5 l swing-top bottle, bb 04/16)
