Poured a dark golden hue with a head of foamy ivory that quickly dissapeared. The nose was of toasted malt and a floral/fruity hoppiness. The tatse starts with sweet malts, dark breads and some hints of toffee. Mild to medium bitters come next offsetting the malts. Tastes sweet, bitter, dry, malty and hoppy all at once. The finish was nutty, smooth and mildly bitter. The feel was moderate due to medium to low carbonation. This was a great session beer, and would do just as well in a large stein. A smooth, simple, malty beer, that’s great anytime. sbanach (222) - Alabama, USA - OCT 4, 2012
Low malt aroma, lighter amber color, but darker than the spayed oktoberfest. Low hop taste, malty, toastiness on the finish. Finishes dry, very drinkable and tasty. Would like to have more of these. My favorite German Oktoberfest if the 4 German Oktoberfest beer we sampled at my homebrew club meeting..
