This is the beer that they serve at The Oktoberfest. Sold in the US as "Superior Festbier"

Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a medium amber color. Aromas of roast malts, caramel, and a touch of spice(ginger?). Flavor has a nice smooth sweet roasted taste. A little bitter on the finish.

2.8
kidmartinek (5007) - austin, Texas, USA - SEP 7, 2008
A dark brown barely clear lager that pours with a small tan head that disappears in a minute. The aroma is strong barley and rye. The flavor is very malty, grassy and full. The character, however is sharp and bitibg whilst being disagreeable. The finish taste like barley malt syrup from concentrate. This beer does remind you of the fall season though, primarily with its aroma.
