COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the beer that they serve at The Oktoberfest. Sold in the US as "Superior Festbier"

Until they change the commercial description, this beer *is* sold in the USA. Just bought it down at the local provisioner. Nice latching bottle, good label. Bright blonde beer with a fluffy, white oatmeal head. Sweet cereal aroma. Lifeless, stale oaty-cereal flavor - lightly sweet and next-to-no bittering. Oaty aftertaste with a husky-bitter thing as well. Medium body. Loses carbonation. Meh. Market Square Liquors.

Pour is golden amber color with an average dissipating white head. Typical octoberfest smell of bread, hay, cereal, and caramel malts. Flavor matches the aroma. Simple but well executed beer. Clean finish. Decent.

Pours out a very light yellow, much lighter than what I’m used to for Oktoberfest beers. Aroma isn’t much to write home about, a bit of light muted hay and honey notes. A surprising amount of bitterness upfront on this one, not nearly the malty backbone I was expecting, towards the end some slight doughy notes. A fairly clean finish. Not bad but not the best of a style I have grown to appreciate very much.

Quite a refreshing, drinkable marzen. Light, some bitter and spice in the finish and a fairly light malt flavor.

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2013 Slightly spicy scent. Clear golden colour. Very crisp and drinkable and a mild sweetness, but without much discernable flavour. Lively carbonation and medium to light body. Not sure I?d buy again

Draft - Grains, honey and lemon. Fizzy yellow with a foamy white head. Very light with lots of grain and a hint of lemon. Easy drinking.

Appearance was clear deep gold with diminishing creamy off white 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are sweet toffee, caramel pils malt driven, not much else. Taste is lighter sweeter malts than nose with a touch of herbal, spicey hops for balance. Palate was smooth creamy CO2 with a light body, average length sweet, spicey with a hint of dry mineral finish. An easy drinker, but...
