I had tried both Paulaner and Ayinger Octoberfest Marzens prior to Hacker-Pschorr. I thought the other two were very good but this was noticeably better in aroma and taste.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear light brown color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is all malt. The taste is rich toasted malt. An excellent beer.

On Tap at Prost! Boise. Amber borwn with a modest soapy off-white head. Nice toasted malt and some honey like sweetness. A littel biter bite at the end. A good example of a style that is usually not my favorite.

Bottle. It pours a clear copper color with a fizzy off white head. The aroma has toasted malt, hints of berries an caramel with light sulfury lager yeast. Mostly toasted malt. The flavor has some toasted malt and light caramel sweetness. Some corn-like adjunct. Light earthy and spicy bitterness. Pretty thin bodied. Just ok.

Fules (970) - Gyöngyös, HUNGARY - NOV 5, 2016
Nagy, tartós hab, barnába hajló bronzos szín. Malátás, enyhén fűszeres és édeskés illat. Picit édeskés, malátás alap, némi gyümölcsös aromával, enyhe olajossággal. Közepesen testes és szénsavasan, alig keserű. Szuperül sikerült, jól összerakott finom sör.
