bottle from Getränke Degenhart Passau-Grubweg. Clear pale yellow, large white head. Resiny hop aroma. Light and elegant malty background with loads of green, resiny hops, pleasantly bitter and highly aromatic. Smooth palate. Rather hoppy for a Bavarian beer. Really, really well crafted example of this style! A delight! Tim Webb (443) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 7, 2012
330 ml bottle in several places round Passau. Good quality German-type Pilsener, i.e. crisp, light and hoppy. Retains its bitterness throughout giving it a well-made feel. The best higher-volume straight Pilseners we found on our 3-week German trip. Oakes (17668) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 2, 2009
Golden colour with a delicate sparkle and thick head. Slightly herbal aroma with a hint of fruit and light bready malt. Quite dry. Good example, although it’s a shade watery. fonefan (49293) - VestJylland, DENMARK - DEC 9, 2011

Bottle: Pale golden to golden, beaten-egg-white-like foam, stable; shy aromatic-hoppy nose with a touch of pale malt and straw; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; lingering aromatic hops in the mild bitter-sweet pale-malty finish. Good semi-bohemian Pilsener...... Beerhunter111 (20472) - P´Castle, GERMANY - JUL 23, 2016
Klares goldgelbes Bier mit mittelgroßen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch mild grasig hopfig, blumig. Geschmack mild hopfig, grasig bitter, blumig, gut! Arctium_lappa (12) - Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - MAR 29, 2017
At first a fairly generic Pilsener but it perked up to have some complexity in the palate & aroma. Not a great beer but a perfectly fine one if you’re in Passau for the evening. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 22, 2009
Draft at the brewery. Bright white fluffball head on top of a bright golden beer. Very good crisp pils aroma is grassy, leafy, with fresh herbs, forest, and greens. Lovely. The flavors are unfortunately much blander. It’s well-made and good quality though. Dedollewaitor (16158) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 26, 2011
