Hoppy at first, then buttery. Good flavor beer, not world shattering. Got this in a bottle at the Wonderful Seven SEasons beer shop in Hackney

Cask: hand-pulled pint in the Leyton Technical on 11th March 2017. Red hue to the deep brown body, beige head that hung around. Malty stuff, berries, red berries in the nose and flavours: some semi-sweet caramel notes too. Finish is a little bitter with a nutty trace in the aftertaste.

Draft. An amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and citrusy hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

Half, keg at The Angel (JDW), Islington. Clear red-brown body. Nitro off-white head blanketing the glass. Malt-fruity nose, hints of citrus and caramel. Rounded taste profile of red orange, caramel and pine leading to a fruit bitter end. Well balanced. Tasty (London 10.04.2016).

Cask at JDWs in Kingston. Pretty sweet for the style but with some dark fruits coming through and a dryer finish. Nice beer.

Cask for the Wetherspoons 2016 London brewers festival, bright red-brown with a small head and very little condition. Dry-sweet and fruity, with juicy malt and a light bitterness. Hints of plums and red berries, and just a touch of nuttiness. Very nice.

Keg at the London Brewers’ Market spring 2015. Pours clear amber-gold with a foamy white head. The nose holds some pine, grainy bread. Light sweet flavor with toasted grains, grass, rindy citrus. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with mild sweetness, some lightly toasted, grainy bread, more rindy citrus fruits. Not bad on the whole.

Keg at the three johns. Copper / dark orange coloured pour with a lasting creamy head. Aroma is nice sweet berry, cranberry and pine hop with a little crystalline sugar and toffee note. Quite pleasant. Flavour is composed of some caramel biscuit grains with a little cranberry sharpness, unrefined sugars, mineral. Little netalic rusty penny in the finish. Palate is medium light with a little creaminess. Lingering grassy / berry hedgerow hop. Drinks pretty well, lacks a little umph.
