Cask in Crown Posada under alias Black Gate Bitter. Clear dark chestnut brown bitter with a thin white head. Nose is a bit of sulphur, Burton snatch, toasted grains, caramel, not much else. Taste is caramel, toasted grains, little earthy English hop, Autumn leaf mulch, slight roasted malt bitterness. Old school English bitter. Watery mouthfeel. Taste is better than sulphury eggy nose. Cask handpull at Woodins Shades Liverpool St. As Hadrian Border Farne Island, 4.0%. Amber orange, clear, still, small foamy white head. Aroma is bread dough, sugary, caramel. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is bready, touch of sawdust, nice level of bitterness. Lasting honey sweetness. An enjoyable bitter in nice condition here. Cask in the Lindisfarne Inn. Pours amber with an off white head. Toasty malt aroma. The taste is toast again with some light citrus. Pretty average bitter.

Cask at the Shakespeare, Lower Temple St, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is light hop, some yeast notes.
