On tap at GGBF 05. Golden, no head. Carboard, boring, golden malt. Tedious stuff. Wet. leaparsons (10496) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2004
Amber with a small head. Aromas are light and malty with chocolate and sulphur. Flavours are also sulphurous along with some fruity malts and spices. Dry on the finish but a bit thin overall. duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 30, 2004

beer festival. Not too bad, around average. Bready, with some salty dry citric hops, pretty typical for style i suppose.
Cask Conditioned, at the Catford Beer Festival. GNome (41) - Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 7, 2004
Deep amber colour. Sulphurous nose. Good bitter taste and length on the palate.
Cask @ Cluny, Newcastle; Faint malt aroma but caramel predominates, same with taste... disappointing

A decent, traditional style, session bitter. Some malt to start, bitter finish. Not too thin. Eminently drinkable. No great finesse or complexity, but you shouldn't really expect that from a session bitter . Now 3.8% (OG 1036). Handpump, The Speaker, Westminster, London SW1.
