1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 2/20
This beer was introduced as a 5.2 % ABV beer in around 1993 and was an excellent drop, brought out as competition to Carlton Cold Filtered beer. At the time it was criticised for its alcoholic volume and accused of encouraging binge drinking in the youth market (in the days before alcopops)
For whatever reason it was denatured first to 4.2 and then 4.0 at the beginning of the Century and is now just a tasteless boring mid strength beer. I doubt if much of it is sold anymore.
I miss this beer. It used to be a favorite of mine when I lived in Australia. Cool and crisp. Perfect for warm sunny day. StevieT (2039) - AUSTRALIA - APR 23, 2014
Bland, boring, beige, it’s the floral wall paper of the beer world, I’ve had a few worse beers but not a lot. jdpeebs (698) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 19, 2012
Bottle. I had this beer several years ago, just adding it for my records. Nothing special and very bland, probably why they don’t make it anymore. ndon (857) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 28, 2010
been a while since ive seen these floating around. if you dont want your 14 yr old son to like beer until he is older, give him one of these. believe me, it works! Jaxmegaherz (11) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 10, 2010
Water, very little body, basically tastes like carbonated water with a coin dropped in it. Metallic and bad. In its defensive it goes down easy on a hot summers day if it is bordering on frozen.

345ml bottle. About what I expected. Honey gold in colour with a thin modest loose white foam head. Aroma of grass and straw with a basic flavour that is dull and boring. nate2g (1548) - Boomtown!, AUSTRALIA - DEC 12, 2008
Another watery, thin bodied Aussie lager with use of adjuncts and no flavour at all. gam (4078) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAR 30, 2008
