A mild lager that must be served under 10ºC. Honey and leather yum. derry (10) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 2, 2003
A very nice beer, quite heavy bodied, with a good bitter aftertaste. In draught form, it is one of the smoothest beers i've tasted. ltmain99 (12) - CESSNOCK, AUSTRALIA - OCT 14, 2002
This is my basic beer. You should have this in your fridge all the time. Maybe a few cascade premiums for a special occasion. gregcromwell (8) - Coorabell, AUSTRALIA - MAY 23, 2004 does not count
This is my regular drop from the bottle shop. Consistently delivers a fresh somewhat perfumy hop aroma. Grassy finish with subtle malt tones. A typical Dr Chuck beer if you ask me. Can anyone else taste the Stein Lager influence? pyrotim2000 (13) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 6, 2007
One of the best Australian beers I’ve tasted. I drank from a lager glass and it had a reasonable head that lasted to the end, lacing the glass as it went... nice and hoppy, slightly malty and but as others said, a little on the thin side. Overall, a great beer in my humble opinion.

A very enjoyable beer. When it first came on the market about 10 years ago it was streaks ahead of anything else, its main competitor is Crown larger, but only in name. Hahn premium wins hands down garygary99 (21) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 14, 2001
the only decent beer we have on tap at work theodorereg (28) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 16, 2012
Pours a nice amber colour, head doesn’t hang around too long. First taste a nice mild good hop taste pleases me. Conservative in flavour , but clean and refreshing. Hard to find this beer now in Melbourne. Other Hahn beers not as good. itsmax (103) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - NOV 28, 2001
Mass produced beer that should taste better than promised.
Better than Crown, that’s for sure.
