[9929-20171222] Tap. Cereal Cheerios grains aroma. Slightly hazy, pale orange pink body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Cereal toasted cookie dough grains flavour has a bit of an alcohol background. Medium body. Interesting but a weak memory of their other offerings. (6/3/7/3/13) 3.2

2017-12-22. Lightly hazy orange body, small off-white head. 3+ Aroma has and oddly earthy malt character. Flavour is similar, earthy character very lightly toasty malt accents. Doesn't improve as it warms. Average bodied palate, good carbonation. Okay, but I don't particularly care fore it. 7/3/6+/3/14 On tap at Birreria Volo, Toronto.

Cask at Cask Days. Initially they poured me a Doggie Claws because they had the casks mislabeled, so I got to try both. Crystal clear golden color. Nice flavor of vinous cereal light caramel. Tasty. Clareeses (191) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 14, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 14, 2017 On draft at hair of the dog!! Perfect start to my Portland beercation.
Aroma 7 /10: fruity esters
Appearance 4 /5: clear golden little head
Palate 4 /5: moderate carbonation, finishes a tad resin
Taste 8/10: malty and very hoppy with a lot of tropical fruit esters (mango, pineapple). Finishes malty and slightly syrupy.
Overall 18 /20: I am shocked this is a lager. As someone who adamantly despises lager yeast, I can't detect any of that here, probably due to how hoppy and malty this is. Damn.

At the source: pours hazy gold with white head. Aroma is lightly boozy, candy sugar and breads. Taste is sweet with some inoffensive alcohol burn. Interesting.

Draught @ the brewery. Pours an almost clear golden colour a small white head. Nose is grainy with some bready notes. Flavour is a potent almost herbal mix of malt and bread with a slight boozy finish. j12601 (13304) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUL 11, 2017
On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Soft musk on the nose, a bit of spicy cinnamon and feisty yeast. Medium bodied, soft malt, a bit of sweetness, stone fruit lurking behind old pineapple and citrus. Muted and dull. Like a great flavor went down a dark alleyway and got mugged.

Rating #1676 - #CBC2015 Beer 61 - Day 4 - On tap at HOTD w/ Ferris. Hazy yellowish amber pour with a lasting white head, thick and frothy. Lots of aromas here, citrusy Amarillo hoppiness present as well as some caramel, and a spiciness. Taste is bold citrusy hops, tempered with a sweet, bready consistency that disguises the alcohol content. Finish is quite dry, lingering pleasant spicy burn. monk191 (2022) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 31, 2015
A quite nice beer, not what we expected at all. Pours a bright orange with a thick white head. Smells of vanilla and caramel. Taste is very thick, sort of like their Fred. More vanilla and figs, with a malty finish. Had on tap at the brewery. beastiefan2k (4191) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - JUL 10, 2015
On tap @ Hair of the Dog during RBSG. Love the melon fruit malt and yeast combo. Cant tell its lagered, seems like an ale. No harsh alcohol at all. Low bitter. Thicker body. Not cloying sweetness and fruit make this thick. Golden color with a little lacing. Soft carbonated body. Surprisingly awesome beer. I haven’t said that about HotD in a long time.
