Bomber pours a great looking pale amber color with a thin but lasting cream colored head. Nose of pine, resin, and citrus notes. Taste is bitter, but more balanced than most mind erasing DIPAs. Solid malt body provides ample structure. Citrus on the finish. A drinkable DIPA... But really should be considered just an IPA.

From tap at Hair of The Dog, Portland. Aroma is juicy fruity hops, sweetish slowly riping fruits, pine resin, soft malt, grapefruit, citrussy with orange. Flavour is moderate sweet with a bitter finish. Body is medium. Wow, such a smooth and balanced IIPA, lovely example of the style.

Thanks Frank! Bottle to tulip. The appearance was a golden sunshine yellow color with a two finger’s worth of white foamy head. Seemed to really take it’s time in dissipating, I didn’t mind. Some heavy lace ran here and there. The aroma spoke of some sweet to soft spicy rye, light floral hop tones, some herbal, light citrus, a touch of resin, light passion fruit and ended with some sweet fresh grassy tones. The flavor came between the sweet to spicy portions and then subtly allowing the passion fruit to make a light presence. Not much of an aftertaste, seemed somewhat fresh piney to that passion fruit with a cohesive piney to grassy and passion fruit sweet sort of finish. The palate was about medium bodied with a good sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt spot on. ABV felt as projected. Bitterness was there yet contained enough to not impart much hop abrasion. Overall, well, damn! I totally understand the hype train behind this one. I’m jumping on!

Aroma is passionfruit, grapefruit, and lemongrass . Taste is light grains which are consumed by flour, fresh and both bitter and earthy hop notes. Appearance is a lightly hazy hold with a thin pearl head that retains well.

Zeer vol en romig, mooie knapperige hop, niet te bitter. Heel veel gist als body, daar hou ik van. Heel veel in één glas. Koppig, gedroogd fruit, rond, romig. Top voor een bier binnen het genre dat niet mijn favoriete stijl is.

Iznogud (3710) - CROATIA - APR 2, 2017
On tap at ACBF 2017. Pours hazy golden with white head. Fruity, apricot, citrus, pine, malty, light to moderate hoppiness, bitter finish. Medium bodied. Expected a bit more.
